Colors by Llarowe Young Turks

It's Blue Monday again and I'm showing Colors by Llarowe Young Turks for the second time on the blog. The difference with this post is that the pictures are taken in direct sunlight instead of artificial light.

I still love everything about this colour. It's probably my favourite from the Spring Frenzy Collection. It has a gorgeous turquiose shade of blue and the holographic effect is very strong. This polish is probably the one I'll wear the most this spring and summer. I have worn it five times already and I'm still not getting tired of it.
The formula is still amazing. To get more info about that you can read the first post about this polish which you can find HERE.
What you see int he pictures are two coats of Colors by Larowe Young Turks and one coat of Seche Vite.

Glam Polish Dancing in the Moonlight

Hello!
I've had a lovely weekend with my Grandparents and my boyfriend. How has your weekend been?
Last week I got April's What's In-Die Box? For you who are asking yourself what the hell is a What's In-die Box? I have the answer. It's an Australian  mystery polish box. There's a new box every month and the box always have a theme. The most exciting thing about the box is you don't get to see the polishes until you get the box. There are always five different brands participating and they differ slightly. Last month the brands were Peita's Polish, Glam Polish, LilypadLacquer, Bella Belle Nail Couture and MckFresh Nail Attire. The theme was All Things Mythical and Fantasy.I'm showing you the Glam Polish today, called Dancing in the Moonlight.

Dancing In the Moonlight is very complex. It's a dark blue base with an almost duochrome purple flash in the form of shimmer. It also has blue micro glitter and a scattered holo. Yes, there is a lot going on but it's so delcately done and works so well. It's a super pretty polish! It doesn't look much in the bottle but once it goes on the nail it's pure love for me. I love the beautiful scattered holo and the purple shimmer against the bue base.

This is the inspiration picture for the polish. Isn't it pretty?

The formula is amazing! It's so easy to apply. Two coats gave full coverage. Even thoough there is micro glitter top coat isn't needed to make the finish smooth. Instead the polish itself dries down to a shiny, smooth finish. I of cource used TC anyways to get some shine, but as I said, it's not needed.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Glam Polish Dancing in The Moonlight and one coat of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

Easter Skittlette

Hello! I've had a lovely weekend with my boyfriend and his family at their cottage I. The woods. No electricity, no running water. Back to nature and very simple. But oh, how I live that way of living. My Easter was in other words lovely. Easter is over but I do have an Easter inspired mani to show you.
I decided to go for a skittlette. It's very girly and cute. I love how the different patterns and colours go together. I'm just  really pleased with this mani.
I used six different polishes for this skittlette. Butter LONDON Jasper, Butter LONDON Cake Hole, Butter LONDON Cotton BudsColors by Llarowe Tank Tops & Flip FlopsColors by Llarowe Coconut and Isadora Rosette.

Pointer: Two coats of Butter LONDON Jasper and a nail stud from Born Pretty Store.
Middle: Two coats of Butter LONDON Cotton Buds. Then I used striping tape to do the pattern and filled it in with one coat each of Butter LONDON Cake Hole, Butter LONDON Jasper, Isadora Rosette and Colors by Llarowe Tank Tops & Flip Flops.
Ring: One coat of Colors by Llarowe Coconut. Then I used a dotting tool to make the dots using Butter LONDON Cake Hole, Butter LONDON JasperIsadora Rosette and Colors by Llarowe Tank Tops & Flip Flops.
Pinky: Two coats of Butter LONDON Jasper and a nail stud from Born Pretty Store.

Dry Brush Easter Mani

Happy Easter everyone!

I'm visiting my boyfriend's family during the holiday. I just wanted to show you my easter mani real quick. I did a dry brush mani with several Colors by Llarowe polishes. I love dry brush manicures. They are so easy to do and the result is always gorgeous. The Colors by Llarowe I've used for this mani are: Woodstock, Lucy I'm Home, It's Shocking, Orange Crush, Young Turks, Moijto and Young Grasshoppa.
The pictures are taken in the shadow to show off the colours a bit better, but that way the lovely holo effect doesn't show. You just have to imagine this as superholo and colourful.

Smitten Polish Not Your Mama's Easter Grass

It's Green Wednesday today. Of course I want to be part of it. Today I have Smitten Polish Not Your Mama's Easter Grass to show you.

Not Your Mama's Easter Grass is a lime green, bordering on neon, jelly packed with green and yellow prismatic micro glitter. It's so pretty and fun. It's gorgeous! Perfect for Easter. Who am I kidding, it's perfect for any time of the year. A must have if you love green like I do. It's so sprakly and bright that it completely freaked out my camera.
The pictures are taken in direct sun light, to show of the crazy sparkle, and the last picture is taken in the shadow, to show you that this polish is gorgeous. All the time.

The formula is amazing. It's so easy to apply and goes on very smoothly. Three coats give full coverage. The glitter pay off is great. It dries a bit rough and rather matte, but TC does the job and makes the finish shiny, shiny, shiny.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of Smitten Polish Not Your Mama's Easter Grass and two coats of Seche Vite.

Too Fancy Lacquer Prototype: Sunshine

Hello! Long time, no write. It's been a while again. Iv'e been busy visiting family and came home yeterday evening. Now it's a new week and soon it's Easter. I'll try to post some easter manicures this week. So why not start right away with Too Fancy Lacquer Prototype: Sunshine.

Prototype: Sunshine is a yellow polish with a linear holographicc effect. I think it's more mustard yellow than bright sunshine yellow. What I really like about the colour is that it's an easy worn yellow. it doesn't make your fingers look like you've been smoking for ages. Like most yellow holos the holographic effect is subtle but still visible.
Prototype: Sunshine is fun and pretty. I really like the colour. It's vibrant and makes me happy. Perfect for Easter if you don't want to go for nail art.
The photos are taken in direct sunlight. I still haven't really figured out how to take photos in sunlight with my camera, but I'm on my way finding what white balance I need and what photo conditions are the best. Bear with me until then.

The formula was good. Two coats gave full coverage, which is really good since it's a yellow. It dries quickly and shiny. To get a super shiny, glossy look you'll need top coat but it dries shiny enough without. TC does'nt dull the holographic effect.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Too Fancy Lacquer Prototype: Sunshine and one coat of Seche Vite.

Sparkly Blue Grapes (Reversed Gradient)

That break I had from all things sparkly, it didn't last very long. Two hours and 3 minutes to be exact. I love all things sparkly so I just couldn't leave my nails without it.
Barry M Blue Grape, which I showed you yesterday is a gorgeous electric blue crelly. It's wonderful to wear on it's own but I amped it up with a little bit of blue glitter. Perfect for Blue Monday as well. Check out Tove's lovely blog for more blue manis today.

So, back to my mani. It's blue, it's sparky and it's a reversed gradient. you who have followed me for a while know that I love reversed gradients. It's much more interesting and a lot prettier, in my opinion, tha the usual gradient that starts from the tips. The polishes I've used for this gradient are Barry M Blue Grape and Smitten Polish Pure Imagination. Pure Imagination is one of my favourite Smitten's. The formula is great, the colour's amazing and it has the right amount of sparkle. Unfortunately it's discontinued.

I've used two coats of Barry M Blue Grape as the base colour on all nails, then I've dragged out a dot of Pure Imagination to create the reversed gradient. I finished the mani with two coats of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.

Barry M Blue Grape

Let's take a break from all the glitter, holos, multichrome and shimmers, shall we. Let's instead focus on something simple. I'd like to show you Barry M Blue Grape today.

Blue Grape is a bright blue crelly. You know, a mix of a creme and a jelly. It's got the opacity o a creme but the shiny of a jelly.  It's a gorgeous shade. The same kind of blue as Nails Inc Baker Street (which happens to be one of my favourite blues, not just because of it's name. Sherlock anyone?). It's super shiny, bright and happy. I love wearing this shade of blue. It speaks for itself and it's never boring.

The formula is good. It's easy to apply, it's self-leveling and covers in three coats. It dries quickly on it's own and the finish becomes very, very shiny. Top coat is not needed for the shine, actually it's not needed for the dry time either but I just cannot leave a mani without top coat.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of Barry M Blue Grape without top coat.

Smitten Polish Claddagh

It's Holo Friday! I've sepnt the day in bed. I'm sick and I have a fever, so I've watched Heroes and Dexter all day long. I almost forgot about Holo Friday, shame on me. Today I have one of Smitten Polish's St. Patrick's Day polishes to show you, Claddagh.

Claddagh is an emerald green polish with a strong linear holographic effect. This is gorgeous! It's similar to Smitten Polish Enchanted Forest but more green. It's perfect for St. Patrick's Day. Actually, it's perfect all the time. I can wear this is the type of green holo all day, every day. It's so stunning! The only thing I don't like about this polish is that it gives my hands a severe case of lobster hands. They turn completely red. It's not a major issue though, since the polish is so pretty.

The formula is good. A little bit sheer but it covers in three coats without any VNL. It dries quickly and shiny.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of Smitten Polish Claddagh and one coat of Seche Vite.
