Lilypad Lacquer Vintage Chic

Hey Guys! My new course is killing me...  I've been so busy the past week and the coming three weeks will be even worse. It's not even funny. Our teachers just pile on things for us to do right now. That, sadly, makes the blog echo with emptiness. I have a few minutes over today to schedule a few posts for this week so at least you will have something to read in the coming days.
Anyway, today I'd like to show you a new polish from Lilypad Lacquer called Vintage Chic. When I bought it only two bottles had been made but I now it was sold when Nicole re-opened her shop this last weekend.

Vintage Chic is a golden green holo with a pink flash. It's super pretty! The pink flash is mostly visible in indirect sunlight, therefore you won't see it in m y pics snce they're taken in direct sunlight so show off the gorgeous holo. I really love the green colour. It's a perfect green for my pale skin.

The formula was flawless. Two easy applied coats gave full coverage. The polish dries quickly and the finih becomes shiny.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Lilypad Lacquer Vintage Chic and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

OPI I Carol About You

Hello! Today I have another polish from the OPI Gwen Stefani HOliday Collection 2014, I Carol About You.

I Carol About You is a vibrant purple shimmer. It's not a classic shimmer polish this has more of a sheen than a shimmer to it, a little like gift wrapping string. Do you know what I mean? It's very pretty. I loved every swatch I've seen of it but I was a little disappointed with the polish in real ife. The purple is vibrant but not as vibrant as in the swatches I've seen. I still really like it and I love the name, it's so cute.
It's a pretty polish, a little bit jewel toned. A great purple for the Holidays if you don't want a lot of sparkle.
I added some nail studs on my mani for good measure. I love the silver against the purple.

'The formula was alright. It was a little bit runny and thin but it didn't pool the cuticles. two coat gave full coverage and the polish dried quickly. The finish becomes very shiny.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI I Carol About You and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Smitten Polish 131 Angstrom

Hi guys! Today I have a polish from Smitten Polish's fall collection called 131 Angstrom.

131 Angstrom is a dark teal jelly filled with prismatic micro glitter. It's absolutely stunning. The polish has so much depth and the colour is amazing. I really don't get how Noelie makes her jelly micro glitters. They're packed with glitter so the coverage is amazing but the polish is never thick or difficult to apply. Definitely one of my favourite brands.
I had a really hard time photographing this. It's a teal and my camera can't really handle teal. The pictures turned out slightly more blue than the polish actually is so keep that in mind when looking at the pictures.

The formula is amazing. It's thick but not gloopy and very easy to apply. Two coats gave full coverage but you might need three if you have longer nails. The finish becomes a little textured because of the glitter but two coats of top coat makes it shiny and smooth.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Smitten Polish 131 Angstrom, one coat of Pretty Serious Aqua Coat and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Colors by Llarowe Gizmo (formerly known as Zoe)

It's Holo Friday! So sorry for not posting in a while, life in general has gotten in the way of my polish obsession at the moment. Luckily I have a lot in my picture archive so I should be abe to post at least four to five times a week without a problem for a few months. Today I'm showing you Colors by Llarowe Gizmo (formerly known as Zoe)

Gizmo is a deep khaki green linear holographic effect. This polish is sadly no longer available.
The colour is gorgeous. It' so pretty and the holo adds lots of depth. I love that the formula is very jelly-ish which lets the holo sparkle shine through the base even more. I love CbL but I think the earlier polishes from the brand are a bit better than the new ones. Or maybe I just feel that way because I'm so madly in love with all of my polishes from that time. I mean all of the CbL's I have are stunning but the first ones i got from the brand holds a special place in my heart.

There was also a reformulated version made of Gizmo that didn't really have that khaki green colour. I got it but sold it since I already had the original version. They're similar but definitely not the same.

The formula is good. Two coats gave full coverage and the poish dries quickly. The finish becomes shiny and the holo effect isn't affected by TC.

Lilypad Lacquer Violet Blaze

Hey guys! It's Holo Friday! I haven't had time to blog the past days. I had an exam yesterday in social vulnerability. I've studied so I should pass but you never know, time will tell I guess. Anyway, today I have Lilypad Lacquer Violet Blaze from June's What's In-Die Box. At least I think it was June's box. It was from their 1 year anniversary box which was an all holo box.

Violet Blaze is a purple linear holo filled with purple and orange shimmer. It's so beautiful! I love the orange shimmer. I think orange and purple are so pretty together. The holo effect in this is super strong. It's stronger in real life than in my pictures though.

The formula was really good. Two coats gave full coverage. It dried quickly but tc is needed to get a really shiny finish since the shimmer is a little bit gritty.

Colors by Llarowe Dirty Diana

Hi darlings!

Today I have Colors by Llarowe Dirty Diana to show you. I've showed it once before on the blog but it's one of my favourite polishes.

Dirty Diana is a magnta holo. The holo is so strong and gorgeous. I love the colour as well. This is the old bottle but it's avilable in the new one. I think Dirty Diana is part of the core collection but it was first released with the Tribute to Michael Jackson collection. I need to get a back up of this!
The pitcures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is amazing. It's on the thicker side, but applies like butter. Two thin coats gave full coverage. It dries quickly and the finish becomes super shiny. The holo effect isn't affected by top coat.
What you see in the pictures are two thin coats of Colors by Llarowe Dirty Diana and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Glam Polish Dark Terror Duo

Hi guys! I've already showed you Glam Polish Grusome Movie Duo and today I'm going to show you the other Halloween duo called Dark Terror Duo. This duo is sold exclusively at Mei Mei's Signatures and only 140 numbered sets are made. So grab it while you can!

Black Water is a blackened blue holographic polish with indigo and purple glass flecks. It's gorgeous. I love myself a blackened blue. Any blackened colour actually. The holo effect just makes it better. I love the blackened edges on the nail. They give that glowing-from-within-effect to the polish.
The formula is flawless. This is a one coater but I used two coats for the swatches. I always paint two coats even when the polish only needs one. I think it adds more depth to the finish. The polish dries quickly and the finish becomes very shiny.

The other part of the duo is Don't Go In the Woods is a blackened forest green holographic polish with blue and green glass flecks. The glass flecks make this polish lean toward teal. It's a stunning shade with lots of sparkle and depth.
The formula was flawless. This polish is, just like Black Water, highly pigmented so one coat gives full coverage but I used two. It dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny.

I love both of these and I really can't pick a favourite. They're right up my alley! I can't believe this duo isn't sold out yet. Which one is your favourite?

OPI First Class Desires

Hi guys!
It's November and the Holiday season is soon upon us. So let's kick today off with OPI First class Desires from OPI Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 collection.

First Class Desires is a dark plum polish with lots and lots of golden glass flecks. It looks more maroon on the nail than purple but who care? It's gorgeous and sparkly and amazing. Definitely my favourite from the collection. The purple base is opaque enough to give coverage but it doesn't drown the glass flecks. The glass flecks peek through the base and give the polish a beautiful glow. It's perfect for the Holiday season and winter or whenever you want to feel classy and vampy. I can't help but swoon over this shade.

The formula is flawless. Two easy applied coats gave full coverage. It dries fast and the finish becomes shiny. A little top coat helps to bring out those amazng glass flecks a bit more.
