Marimekko Inspired Nails

 Hi sweethearts!

Marimekko is one of my favourite brands. I just love the Unikko pattern. My mom i Finnish and I speak the language fluently. I've always felt very connected to Finland and my family there even though I only visit once a year, maybe twice.

I've wanted to do Marimekko inspired nails for a really long time, I just haven't done it until now. I choose to do the classic blue Unikko pattern. I love how my nails turned out!  I've done this mani in red as well and it's just as gorgeous. I'll probably do it in other combinations too, since this mani is so easy to do.

The polishes I've used are Barry M Blue Grape, Picture Polish Swagger, Butter London Cotton Buds and OPI Lady in Black. I used a dotting tool to do the flowers. I then used Pretty Serious Matte All the Things to get a matte finish. At the bottom of the post you'll see the inspiration picture for this mani.

Stamped Gradient

Hi guys!
The other day I did a gradient and then I, of coure, had to stamp it.
For this mani I used Barry M Grapefruit, Barry M Papaya and OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go? Those three colours go so well together.

I used Mentality Black Opaque and the Creative Shop stamper to stamp the pattern. The pattern I've used is from the  Sailor Collection Plate 06 from MoYou London.

This gradient isn't perfect but I'm happy wth the result. The colours are so pretty and perfect for summer. I really wih my pictures could make this mani justice.

Glam Polish Welcome to the 60's

Hi!

I finally turned in the last essay of the term. Now I'm free from uni for a little more than a week before I start my summer job.
I feel like celebrating so here's a glitter bomb! This is Glam Polish Welcome to the 60's from the Hairspray Collection.

Welcome to the 60's is really complex. It's a transparaent base with prismatic gold micro glitter, pink prismatic micro glitter and matte white micro glitter. It's so sparkly! Probably one of the sparkliest polishes I own. Absolutely beautiful! I love how the white matte glitter accentuates the all the sparkly. They're a nice surprise that make this polish unique.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

Yep, I had to stamp it. I used Mentality Black Opaque and the Creative Shop Stamper. The pattern is from Moyou London Sailor Collection Plate 05.

The formula is great! Two coats gave full coverage. It dries to a slightly textured finish so if you want it cmpletely smooth, extra sparkly and glossy one coat of top coat will do.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Glam Polish Welcome to the 60's and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Smitten Polish Elixir

Hi sweethearts!
It's Green Wednesday! I'll show you Smitten Polish Elixir. It's an exclusive for Hypnotic Polish.

Elixir is a dark teal green jelly with prismatic micro glitter. It's the type of polish Noelie makes best. It's absolutely gorgeous. A flawless teal green that's super sparkly. Everyone who loves green or teal should own this. It's that amazing.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight. It's much more sparkly in real life. All the glitter freaked out my camera a little.

The formula is impeccable. Two coats give full coverage. The finish becomes smooth but needs top coat to be really shiny.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Smitten Polish Elixir and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Glitter Gradient

Hi!
Today I'll show you a glitter gradient I did last week. It's Blue Monday today, but I don't think this is bllue enough to be part of it.

For this mani I used OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go? and OPI Gone Gonzo.  I love the combo of light blue and orange. It's so summer-y. I'm in a reversed glitter gradient phase right now. I love them. I've done lots of combos the last week. They're so easy to do.

I used two coats of OPI Where Did Suzi' Man-Go? as the base and then dabbed on Gone Gonzo.

Glam Polish Oh.

 Hi guys!
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend. I've worked on an essay all day long and I finally finished it.
Today I'll show you Glam Polish Oh. from the special limited edition Oh. Em. Gee! Trio.

Oh is really complex. It has sterling silver flakes, pink-ish purple metallic flakies, lilac prismatic micro glitter and prismatic glitter. It's super sparkly and amazing! This is my favourite from the trio. The other two (I will show them as well) are also gorgeous but this one is absolutely stunning. I love the lilac glitters and the purple flakies. They give the polish a purple, almost duchrome look.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight. It's sparklier in real life. The glitter made my camera freak out a little.

The formula is really good! Great, actually! Two coats give full coverage. Even though there's a lot of glitter the finish becomes completely smooth and shiny. The finish probably becomes so smooth because of the flakes. They sparkle like glitter but lay flat on the nail.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Glam Polish Oh and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

OPI Cement the Deal

Hello!
Today I'll show you OPI Cement the Deal from the Fifty Shades of Grey Collection. I promised myself that I wouldn't buy any Fifty Shades polishes because I don't support the books at all. We don't have to go into the reasons why, but I've read the first book and well... I don't have anything good to say about it. Not  about the writing, the story or the message.

Cement the Deal is a cool toned grey crelly with a hint of blue. It's the perfect grey colour for me. That's why I bought it. I've been on the hunt for the perfect grey and now I finally found it. So I had to by it when I saw it. I guess something good came out of Fifty Shades.
I, contrary to many others, don't think grey is a boring colour. I actually think it's very classy. I'll probably wear this a lot in the autumn or as undies for various glitter toppers.

The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight.

The goal is great. Two coats gave full coverage. The finish becomes very shiny.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI Cement the Deal and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Ninja Polish Divinity

Today I have another favourite of mine to show you. This is Ninja Polish Divinity. I've shown this on the blog once before, you can find those pictures here.

Divinity is a multichrome that shifts between purple, red, green and gold. The colour's a dupe of the elusive Clarins 230 aka Unicorn Pee. This one doesn't need any undies though.
I usually wear it on its own, but this time I decided to layer it over a black creme. The black undies brought out the red shift a lot more.

The pictures are taken in indrect sunlight.

The formula is great. I layered one coat over black. On its own three coats give full coverage. The finish becomes matte, almost satin. If you wat it shiny one coat of top coat is enough.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI Lady in Black, one coat of Ninja Polish Divinity and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Glam Polish Anuenue With Stamping

Hi!
Yesterday I showed you Glam Polish Anuenue. I just couldn't leave it alone and had to stamp it. I was inspired by the amazing Bettina Nails who stamped Anuenue a while ago. I think her version was matte though. I used top coat to get a shiny look.

I did two coats of Glam Polish Anuenue and then stamped it with Mentality White Opaque usig the Creative Shop Stamper. The pattern is from Moyou London Sailor Collection Plate 06. As usual I used Pretty Serious Crystal Coat to finish the mani.
