Femme Fatale Birth of Venus Collection: My Picks

Hi there!

Today I have Femme Fatale's latest collection to how you. It's called Birth of Venus. It contains nine different colours. There are holos, shimmers, gitters and even a thermal. All of them weren't my cup of tea, but I bought five of them. Those five are the ones I'll show you today.
This collection is inspired by Botticelli's iconic painting that the collection is named after.

This is a lovely fall collection. The colours are really gorgeous and there's something for everyone in there. The formula of them all were great. I remember when Femme Fatale just had started and the formula of all f the glitters were horrible, thick like glue, and goopy. They've really stepped up their games since then.

All pictures are taken in artificial lighting.

Breath of Zephyros

Breath of Zephyros is a silvery grey holo with prismatic golden glitter and lavender shimmer. This is so pretty. I love how th glitter accentuates the base. This is a polish that's both super glamourous and sort of subtle. I love it.
Two coats and top coat.

Arrival of Venus

Arrival of Venus is a warm, burnt orange holo. This is a perfect fall colour. It reminds me of the leaves changing colours in the autumn. The holo is really strong and gives the polish more depth.
Two coats and top coat.

Upon Seafoam

Upon Seafoam is a seafoam green with micro silver flakes and pink shimmer. This is so gergoues. It looks really luxurious on the nail. These type of turquoise colours sometimes make my hands look red but the pink shimmer prevents that from happening.
Three coats and top coat.

Isle of Cythera

Isle of Cythera is a grey tinted, forest green holo with golden shimmer. It's dark, vampy and elegant. I think this will be one of my go-to polishes this fall.
Two coats and top coat.

Swept Across the Sea

Swept Across the Sea is a orange to teal thermal with strong green shimmer. The word that came to mind when i wore this is cool. I have nothing in my collection that resembles this. It's unique. This is my favourite from the collection. I like it in both it's warm state, orange, and in it's cool state, teal. The shimmer is very pretty and adds more depth.

Femme Fatale The First Northern Witch

I LOVE polishes and collecions that are inspired by fairytales. I just love 'em. Whenever there's a collection inspired by a fairytale I can't help myself, I just want them all. Femme Fatale released a collection inspired by Narnia a while ago and they're all amazing. Today I'll show you one of them: The First Norther Witch.

The first Northern Witch has a light grey, almost taupe, crelly, glod glitter, pale old glitter and bronxe glitter, silvery shimmer and a little prismatic glitter. It's so intricate and captivating. It's neautral but so interesting. The mix of various gold glitter and the shimmer adds so much depth. It's simply beautiful.

The pictures are taken in indiret sunlight.
The First Northern Witch is more calm compared to the previous polish, but not less intricate. It's a grey base, filled with various shades of golden glitter (I'm seeing gold, silvery gold and bronze gold) and shimmer, from very fine to a bit larger, and it has some holographic microglitter as well. Another beauty that covered in 2 thicker coats. - See more at: http://www.ooohshinies.com/2015/06/femme-fatale-cosmetics-white-witch.html#sthash.me81IrDt.dpuf

The formula is good. Three thin coats give full coverage. If you do thicker coats two should be enough. It dries fast but the finish becomes a little textured so top coat is a must if you want a smooth, glossy finish.

What you see in the pictures are two coat of Femme Fatale The First Norther Witch and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Femme Fatale Glass Coffin

Hi guys!

Today I'll show you Femme Fatale Glass Coffin.

Glass Coffin is a thermal polish that is  a pale blue with a green duochrome effect when warm and when cold is a pretty purple with the same green duochrome shift. Its gorgeous both ways but I do prefer the pale blue version. It looks like the sea and is absolutely gorgeous.

I reallly think Femme Fatale has stepped up its game. FF has always made great polish but lately the polishes have been truly amazing.

The photos are taken in indirect sunlight. The last picture show the purple colour of the polish when its cold.

The formula is good. It's s little sheer so I needed three coats for full coverage. The finish becomes a little brush stroke-y but it doesn't bother me. It dries quickly and becomes shiny.

What you see in the pictures are three coats of Femme Fatale Glass Coffin and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Femme Fatale Pyramids on Mars

Hi sweeties!

I'm back from my vacation now and I'lol have more time to blog again.
Today I'll show you Femme Fatale Pyramids on Mars.

Pyramids on Mars is a dark purple jelly with iridescent glass flecks. This was The colour of the month for May 2015.
This one is truly amazing. It's like a darker, edgier version of Barielle Elle's Spell. At least Pyramids on Mars reminds me of it. I really love it. It's so gorgeous.

The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight.

The formula is good. Three coats give full coverage. The coverage is good at two coats but there's still a little VNL. The jelly is quite opaque so some of the flakes do drown a little bit in the base. At three coats I had no VNL but the flakes aren't as visible.
It dries fairly quickly and the finish becomes very shiny.

What you see in the photos are three coats of Femme Fatale Pyramids on Mars and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Femme Fatale World of Shadows

Femme Fatale World of Shadows was sent to me for review purposes.

Back in December I got the chance to review four polishes for Femme Fatale Cosmetics. The lighting back then was crap and it's still not good, Sweden in the winter. Now the sun stays up to at around 5 PM and the light is a bit brighter. Finally my camera can handle this polish. What I got in store for you today is Femme Fatale World of Shadows.

World of Shadows is an emerald green jelly packed with green, blue and white glitters in different shpes and sizes. It's one of my favourite Femme Fatale's. It's so pretty I actually got the full size botte of this. It's right up my street and I love how the white glitters peek through the dark, green base.

The formula was good. Application was a bit tricky since it's so packed with glitter but nothing a little patience can't handle. Three coats gave full coverage and it dried quickly. The finish becomes shiny but rough because of the glitter so top coat is a must!

What you see in the pictures are three coats of Femme Fatale World of Shadows, one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and two coats of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Femme Fatale Aqueous

Femme Fatale Aqueous was sent to me for review purposes.

It's Blue Monday and I have Femme Fatale Aqueous for you today.

Aqueous is a bright blue jelly with blue, pink and purple glitter in different shapes and sizes. There's micro glitter, hex glitter and shredded glitter. Polishes with a lot of different shped glitter usually come out as a bit crazy on the nail, a bit chaotic, but this doesn't. The colours go so well together and I love the bright blue jelly. This is right up my alley. I definitely have to get a full size bottle of this.
I think this would be a perfect colour to wear during the summer, because yes, this polish makes me long for lazy days on the beach.
The pictures are taken in artificial light. My camera couldn't handle the blue colour in plain day light. I'm not very happy with the pictures. They don't have the same quaity that my pictures usually have.  The pictures are what they are. You'll definitely see this again. In daylight that time.

The formula is good. Many of Femme Fatale's glitters are rather thick, this one is not. It's easy to apply and doesn't dry too rough. Three thin coats gave me full coverage. The polish dries quickly and the finish becomes fairly shiny. Two coats of top coat made the finish smooth.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of Femme fatale Aqueous and two coats of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Femme Fatale Deepstone

In December I got the chance to blog for Femme Fatale and recieved some samples from them. I've only had the time to show you one of the polishes I recieved as a sample, but the rest will be up soon on the blog. Today's posts is not about a sample though. I bought this a few months ago from Femme Fatale. Today's post is about Femme Fatale Deepstone.

Deepstone is a brownih plum, almost mauve holo with a golden shift to it. I think it's gorgeous. The holo effect is subtle but very noticable and the golden shift can always be seen. It's almost a bit duochromatic. It's never boring, always interesting. In lamplight the holo is more subtle and scattered but it creates lovely rainbows in direct sunlight. In the shadow you can see that the golden shift is prominent and it creates a beautiful depth to the polish.
What can I say, Femme Fatale doesn't just make gorgeous glitters, the brand makes lovely holos to.

The formula is like butter. Lovely, creamy and self-leveling. it practically applies it self. Two cots give full coverage and it dries wuickly. The finish becomes shiny and smooth. Top coat will not affect the holographic properties and there's no need for Aqua Fix.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Femme Fatale Deepstone and one coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl.
