Matte Dotticure

A few weeks ago I did a really colourful dotticure. I usually do dotticures that have a white or more neutral base, or colours that don't clash together like a dark blue base with lighter blue dots. This time I wanted to do something really colourful, with dots in different sizes and on a base that doesn't really match but still looks great under the dots. I'm happy with the result. I'd definitely do this type of dotticure again.

The polishes I've used are Barry M Grapefruit, Picture Polish Chillax and Picture Polish Swagger. I used Grapefruit as my base and I used Chillax and Swagger for the dots. I did the dots with the help of a dotting tool. 

It was pretty shiny but I used Pretty Serious Matte All the Things! to matte it. I really like matte nail art. Somehow it brings the patterns out more. 

The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight.

Stamping and Half Moons

Hi guys! I hope you all are haveing a lovely weekend. I've been home relaxing all day. I also did some nail art today that I'd like to show you. 

For this mani I used OPI Lady in Black, Smitten Polish Seahorse Rodeo and Picture Polish Chillax. I used nail vinyls to create the half moon on my index and pinky. I used Mentality Black Opaque for stamping the pattern. The pattern is from MoYou London Sailor Collection Plate 05. I as usually used the Creative Shop Stamper to stamp with. I bought mine from Rainbow Connection, but you can buy it from other places as well.

About Mentality Black Opaque, it's the best black stamping polish I've used. It's super pigmented and dries quickly but not so fast that you have to stress when using it for stamping. I don't think I'm going to use another black for stamping ever again. 

I really love how this turned out. I love the pattern, though it looks a little wonky since I haven't completely mastered the art of stamping yet. Well, practise makes perfect and I'm pleased for now. Chillax is a gorgeous, almost neon, teal. It's one of my favourites from Picture Polish. The pictures aren't completely colour accurate though. My camera doesn't like teal and likes to make them look more blue than green. Chillax is a green leaning teal and not a blue leaning one. I'll post a review of Chillax soon and I'll try to make the pictures more colour accurate. 

Picture Polish O'hara

What's this? Two post in one day? Yes, I did have the time to write another post today. This is Picture Polish O'hara. I've actually shown this ones before on the blog.

O'hara is a bright red crelly with prismatic flakes, those that are so typical for Picture Polish. This is gorgeous. The colour is extremely vibrant but it's not neon. The prismatic flakes peek thrugh th base and gives it a beautiful glow. This is one of my favourites from Picture Polish, and really, how can it not be? It has everything I love about polish. It's red, sparkly and amazing. This definitely rreminds me of Scarlet O'hara, classy, sassy and edgy.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is great. Three coats give full coverage. It dries quickly and completely smooth. The finish becomes very shiny even without top coat.

What you see in the pictures are three coats of Picture Polish O'hara and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Picture Polish Columbia

Hi sweeties! 

Today I'd like to show you Picture Polish Columbia from the Rocky Horror collection. It's been on my wish list since I first saw it and the lovely Martina gave it to me.

Columbia is a red jelly packed with red and pink glitter in different sizes. I layered it over Picture Polish Frank-n-Furter, a gorgeous, almost perfect, red creme. 

I love how sparkly Columbia is. The pink glitters give a highlight to it and it has that glow-from-within look.

I'm a huge Rocky Horror fan. I'm not a big fan of musicals but that one I love. It's so weird and wonderful! If you haven't seen it; see it! I think I have to get the other polishes from this collection as well.

 

The formula was great! It's thin but not runny and so easy to apply. To get full coverage you need three coats, I cheated and layered two coats over a red base. 
It dires quickly and the finish becmoes a little gritty so top coat is a must.
What you see int he pictures are two coats of Picture Polish Columbia over one coat of Picture Polish Frank-n-Furter. The top coat I've used is, as always, Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

piCture pOlish O'hara

 

Fortfarande sjuk och eländig och dessutom har jag två hemtentor att skriva. Så jag borde  göra allt annat än att blogga, men det är ju så roligt. Idag visar jag piCture pOlish O'hara. 

O'hara är ett rött jellylack med prismatiska glitterflagor. Det är otroligt fint. Scarlett O'hara är lite av en favorit när det kommer till klassisk litteratur också. Jag har ett fantastiskt fint exemplar av romanen om jag köpte på en liten marknad i London för något år sedan. Inbunden i tyg och allt. Tyvärr står den i mina föräldrars bokhylla, annars skulle jag visa er en bild på den.

Tillbaka till lacket då. Jag tänker definitivt på Scarlett O'hara. Det är vackert men samtidigt lite edgy med glitterflagorna. 

 

 

 

Formulan är felfri. piCture pOlish när det är som bäst helt enkelt. Det torkar fort och otroligt glansigt. Tre tunna lager gav full täckning, men jag tror man kan komma undan med två lit flödigare lager också. Vad ni ser på mina bilder är tre tunna lager piCture pOlish O'hara.

piCture pOlish Focus

 

Idag visar jag piCture pOlish Focus som är en del av deras Collaboration Shades. Det är lack som piCture pOlish gjort i samarbete med olika nagelbloggare. Just Focus är det Pointless Cafe som skapat. 

Focus är ett skimmerlack i magenta med magenta och blå flakes. De blå flakes som finns i lacket syns knappt men de ger ett fantastiskt djup till lacket. 

Jag tycker det är väldigt vackert. Inte så unikt då. Jag kan komma på fler lack i samlingen som liknar det här men inget som är exakt dupe eller som har både skimmer och flakes. 

Formulan är felfri. Lacket är otroligt lättaplicerat. Som smör. Två lager ger full täckning. Det torkar fort men ganska matt. Så man behöver ett lager överlack för att lacket ska visa sin absolut bästa sida.
Det ni ser på mina bilder är två lager Focus och ett lager Seche Vite.

Focus is a shimmer polish in magenta with magenta and blue flakes. The blue flakes found in the polish are barely visible but they give a great depth to the polish.
 think it is very beautiful. Not so unique though. I can think of a few polishes in my stash that looks a little like this. But there's none that is an exact dupe or that has both shimmer and flakes.
The formula is impeccable. It's very easy to apply. Like butter. Two coats give full coverage. It dries quickly but pretty matte. So to bring out the best side of the polish you need top coat. What you see in my pictures are two coats of Focus and one coat of Seche Vite.

piCture pOlish Cosmos

 

Det blev en ofrivilliga bloggpaus under helgen. Jag och min sambo var och hälsade på hos hans föräldrar. Mycket trevligt, men ingen tid för inlägg här. Men idag är det ny vecka och jag tar nya tag. Som alla vet börjar veckan med måndag och den är blå. Kika in hos Lindas Nailorama för fler blå manikyrer.  Blått alltså. Jag visar er ett av de vackraste blå lack jag äger; piCture pOlish Cosmos. 

piCture pOlish Cosmos är en mörkblå jelly med holografiska glitterflagor som skapades i samarbete med PSHIIIT Boutique. De holografiska flagorna är av samma typ som de i piCture pOlish Kryptonite.

Cosmos är verkligen hur vackert som helst. Namnet är så passande, det ser verkligen ut som rymden. Har ni inte skaffat det här än så gör det!

 

Formulan är fantastisk. Det är inte för tunt eller för tjockt och otroligt lättapplicerat. Två lager ger full täckning. Det torkar fort och väldigt, väldigt glansigt.  På bilderna ser ni två lager av piCture pOlish Cosmos på egen hand. Självklart la jag på ett lager Seche Vite efter att jag fotat. Varför jag inte la det innan vet jag faktiskt inte, men ni få ju se hur glansigt det är på egen hand.

I'm showing you one of my favourite blues; piCture pOlish Cosmos. 

Picture Polish Cosmos is a dark blue jelly with holographic glitter flakes. The polish was created in collaboration with PSHIIIT Boutique. The holographic flakes are of the same type as the ones in piCture pOlish Kryptonite. Cosmos is really gorgeous. The name is so fitting, it really looks like space.

The formula is amazig. The polish is very easy to apply. Two coats give full coverage for me. It dries quickly and super, super shiny. What you see in my pictures are two coats of piCture pOlish Cosmos, no top coat.

piCture pOlish Majesty

 

Idag har jag ett piCture pOlish åt er. Det här är piCture pOlish Majesty. Det är fint, men jag och Majesty klickar inte riktigt.

Majesty är ett guldlack med en svag duokrom flash i rosa. Som inte alls syns på mina bilder. Det finns en hel del prismatiskt glitter i blandningen också som gör det till vad jag skulle vilja kalla ett scattered hololack. Med duokrom effekt alltså. Det borde vara jättesnyggt och det är det. Men jag känner helt enkelt att det är ett lack som inte passar mig. Jag vet egentligen inte varför jag känner mig obekväm i det. Jag har burit det i två dagar och det känns fortfarande inte bra. Jag och Majesty klickar helt enkelt inte. Ibland är det ju så. lacket är snyggt men det funkar inte. Upplever ni också det ibland?

 

Formulan däremot är bra. Lacket är inte för tunt eller för tjockt. Det torkar fort och ganska glansigt. Ytan torkar slätt. Majesty är skirt. Jag har tre lager och fortfarande lite VNL, fast jag gillar att det ser lite skirt ut. Ett fjärde lager hade nog gjort det helt opakt. Så tre lager Majesty och ett lager Seche Vite är alltså vad ni ser på mina bilder.

Majesty is a golden polish with a duochrome flash of pink. That can't be seen in my pictures. There are a lot of prismatic glitter in the mix aswell, which makes me want to call it a scattered holo. With duokrom effect, that is. It should be beautiful and it is. ButI simply feel that it's a polish that doesn't suit me. I really don't know why I feel uncomfortable in it. I have been wearing it for two days and it's still no good. As I said Me and Majesty don't click. That's really how it is sometimes. The polish doesn't work for you. Do you ever  feel that too?

The formula is good. The polish is not too thin or too thick. It dries fast and shiny. The polish is a bit sheer though. I used three coats and still had some VNL. That didn't bother me, I like the semi-opaque look of the polish. I think a foruth coat had made it completely opaque. So what you see in my pictures are three coats of Majesty and one coat of Seche Vite.

Haul!

Sent igår kväll när jag kom tillbaka hem efter en helg hos mina föräldrar så var hela postboxen full i paket. Hela 13 lack låg och väntade på mig. Tre stycken piCture pOlish, tre stycken China Glaze, tre stycken Layla och fyra stycken Enchanted Polish.
Jag är nog mest lycklig över Enchanted Polish för nu äger jag hela Imagine kollektionen!

För någon vecka sedan slog jag sönder mina flaskor med Surfin For Boys och Flirty Tankini. Eftersom de är fantastiska neoner så var jag tvungen att skaffa nya.

piCture pOlish Kryptonite

 

Lacket jag visar idag är piCture pOlish Kryptonite, vilket passar alldeles utmärkt eftersom det är Gröna Onsdag. Jag bidrar med samma lack som Claws in Color visade förra veckan på just grön onsdag. Efter att ha sett Pamsans superfina bilder var jag alltså tvngen att plocka fram min egen flaska som stått otestad i flera månader för att jag varit rädd att bli besviken på det. Det blev jag verkligen inte.

Kryptonite är ett skogsgrönt jellylack med platta, prismatiska glitter som ligger slätt mot nageln. Jag vet inte om jag ska kalla det glitter direkt men partiklar känns lite fel. Hursomhelst är det samma typ av holo/prismatiskt glitter som Zoya har i sin Ornate kollektion. Finishen blir den samma som hos Storm, Blaze och Aurora. Det blir alltså inga regnbågar men det gnistrar som bara den. Galet vackert är det. Nu syns det ju inte alls på mina bilder att det är prismatiskt glitter utan det ser mest ut som silver glitter, men ni får helt enkelt lita på mig.

Utöver att Kryptonite är fantastiskt fint så är det en av piCture pOlish collaboration shades. Alltså ett av lacken där de samarbetat med en bloggare som fått skapa lacket. Just kryptonite är det More Nail Polish som skapat. 

Om vi bara lämnar lacket en lite stund och återigen pratar om mina bilder. Som ni ser har jag nu börjat märka dem. Jag har hittat mina bilder på flera ställen utan källa. Nu har jag pratat med personerna och det har löst sig, men jag vill ändå märka bilderna med att dem är mina. Det betyder inte att man kan gå och använda mina bilder som inte är märkta med Nail Lacquer Love utan att ange källa. Men det är väl ganska självklart att källa alltid ska anges.

Formulan är en dröm! Lacket flyter på som smör i solsken. Det är varken för tunt eller för tjockt och det är otroligt lättapplicerat. Två lager ger full täckning och det torkar fort och otroligt glansigt. har man kortar naglar än jag har kanske man kan komma undan med bara ett lager. Fast bara kanske. På bilderna ser ni två lager Kryptonite och ett lager Seche Vite. Fast Seche Vite behövdes knappast för glansens skull utan endast för hållbarheten.


Translation: The polish I'm showing today is Picture Polish Kryptonite, which fits perfectly because it is Green Wednesday. I contribute with the same polish that Claws in Color showed last week during Green Wednesday. After seeing Pamsan's super pretty pictures, I had to go get my own bottle of Kryptonite out of my stash and finally, after several months try it for the first time. I've been afraid I would be disappointed but I wasn't at all.
Kryptonite is a forest green jelly with flat prismatic glitter. I don't know if I should call it glitter or "particles"  but to call them particles feels a bit wrong. Either way it is the same type of holo/prismatic glitter Zoya has in the collection Ornate. The finish is the same as Storm, Blaze and Aurora have. There are no rainbows though but it sparkles like crazy. It really is a crazy beautiful polish. You can't see the prismatic glitter at all in my pictures, it looks more like silver glitter, but you'll just have to trust me on the prismatic effect.  
Besides beeing a wonderful polish, Kryptonite is one of piCture pOlish's collaboration shades. Kryptonite is created by the lovely More Nail Polish.
If we just leave the polish for a little while and once again talking about my pictures. As you can see, I have now started to mark them with my blog's name. I have found my images in several places without the source. I've talked to people that have been involved and there's no longer a problem, but I still want to watermark my pictures. It does not mean that you can go and use my pictures that are not marked with Nail Lacquer Love without giving me credit for the pictures. But I think it's pretty obvious that the source must always be given.

The formula was a dream.It's not too thin or too thick. The polish covered in two coats and dries quickly and super shiny. What you see in my pictures are two coats of Kryptonite and one coat of Seche Vite.
