Saran Wrap Nail Art

Hi!

I'm so behind on my swatching. I do have a few collections to show you and the regular swatches. I just haven't had the time. I've been crammed with work so I haven't really had the time it takes to swatch. But I'm getting back on track.
I promise you I'l show you a Cupcake polish Collection this week.

Anyway. In waiting for that review I've got a little piece of nail art to sow you today. I've used one of my favourite techniques, the Saran Wrap technique. I wanted to create a sort of marble-like look.
The colours I've used are OPI Alpine Snow, OPI Lady in Black, OPI Cement the Deal and KBShimmer Dust in the Bottle, for a little extra sparkle.

4th of July Mani

 Hello darlings!

I wanted to show  you a 4th of July design today, being 4th of July and all. This is a design I've been thinking of for a while. I even made a polish for it with silver, blue and red glitter, but it must have gotten lost when I moved to a new apartment.
I wanted the glitter polish for a gradient on white, but since I couldn't find it I did a dotticure on two nails instead. I think it turned out great

On my middle finger I did a red glitter gradient and on my ring finger I stamped stars using a MoYou stamping plate late and the Creative Stamper

I'm so pleased with how this mani turned out. It's the first nail art I've done in six months.

The polishes I've used are Colors by Llarowe Chasing A Unicorn, Colors by Llarowe Pirates of Penzance, Colors by Llarowe Rednecks & Rubies and Colors by Llarowe Independence Day. The stamping plate I've used is MoYou Stamping Plate Pro XL 09.

Green and Gold

I'm a sucker for glitter gradient. I wanted to do a Christmas gradient now that the Holidays are just around the corner. Green and gold are perfect colours for that.

The polishes I've used are OPI Christmas Gone Plaid and Smitten Polish Cecil the Lion. Christmas Gone Plaid is one of my favourite greens from OPI and Cecil the Lion is the perfect golden gold, prismatic glitter.

I love the result of this mani.

Christmas Sweater Nail Art

Does anyone actually think ugly christmas sweaters are ugly? Because I certainly don't think they are. Most of them are cute and fun.

I did a Christmas Sweater Nail Art. I used Moyou London Festive Plate 04, a plate with different Christmas sweater patterns.
The polishes I've used are OPI Coca Cola Red and OPI Alpine Snow. I know, the pattern went on a little wonky but this was the first time in months that I stamped my nails. I need to do some more stamping to get back some of my stamping skills. I turned out alright though, and I realy like result. It's perfect for Christmas.

Winter Nail Art Challenge: Snow, All Kinds of Snow!

Hello darlings!
I'm so frustrated with myself. Last week I thought I scheduled one post a day for the whole week, apparently I didn't schedule them I just saved them. I'll probably post two posts a day instead this week.

Anyway Helena at Lacky Corner has a lovely nail art challenge going on for the whole of December. Todays theme is Snow, All Kinds of Snow.

I've wanted to this mani for a long time. I used Glam Polish Anuenue as my base and OPI Alpine Snow as my stamping polish.
It looked a lot better in real life than in my pictures. My camera wouldn't really capture the sparkle of Anuenue. It really did sparkle as much as snow does in the sun light. It was so delicate and pretty. I loved wearing this.

The snow flakes come from Moyou London Festive Stamping Plate 02. It's a plate filled with different snow flakes. It's one of my favourites from Moyou London.

Saran Wrap Nail Art

Hi darlings!

I've wanted to do a subtle fall nail art for a long time but didn't really know how. I love to do leaves and I love orange but I wanted to do something even more simple. I decided to do an earthy, smoky saran wrap mani. I love saran wrap manis. The swirly, imperfection of them is just gorgeous.

Th polishes I've used are OPI Black Onyx, OPI You're so Vain-Illa and OPI Embrace the Gray.
I admitt that it's not super fall-y. It works all year long but something about the colours remind me of autumn. I really loved how it turned out. It looks like black smoke against the pale, rainy sky.

Marimekko Inspired Nail Part 2

Remember the blue  Marimekko inspired nails I did quite a while go. Here's the red version of that mani.
I really love the Unikko pattern. It looks great in all colours and so does this nail art.

The polishes I've used are OPI Lady in Black, Butter London Cotton Buds, OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-Go?, Barry M Grapefruit and Barry M Passion Fruit. I used a dotting tool to create the flowers and topped the mani off with Pretty Serious Matte All The Things! for a matte finish.

Matte Dotticure

A few weeks ago I did a really colourful dotticure. I usually do dotticures that have a white or more neutral base, or colours that don't clash together like a dark blue base with lighter blue dots. This time I wanted to do something really colourful, with dots in different sizes and on a base that doesn't really match but still looks great under the dots. I'm happy with the result. I'd definitely do this type of dotticure again.

The polishes I've used are Barry M Grapefruit, Picture Polish Chillax and Picture Polish Swagger. I used Grapefruit as my base and I used Chillax and Swagger for the dots. I did the dots with the help of a dotting tool.
It was pretty shiny but I used Pretty Serious Matte All the Things! to matte it. I really like matte nail art. Somehow it brings the patterns out more.

The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight.

Saran Wrap Nails

I did some nail art today and I'm super happy with the result! I did saran wrap nails since I wanted to do something easy but still exsiting. I've completely forgotten about how incredibly beautiful saran wrap nails can be!

The polishes I've used are China Glaze Highlight of My Summer, China Glaze Boho Blues, Glam Polish Anuenue and Mentality Black Opaque. I used Highlight of My Summer as the base and then used Boho Blues and the saran wrap technique to do the pattern. I finished the mani off with Glam Polish Anuenue, because Anuenue makes every mani better!
I couldn't let the mani be and had to stamp it. I used a pattern from MoYou London Sailor Collection Plate 05. The end result with the stamping is a little mermaid-esque and I love it!

The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight. The picture of the stamped mani is taken in direct sunlight. Blogger is making my pictures blurry when I upload them. It's getting really frustrating. I'm thinking about changing to another blog platform but I haven't decided yet.

Flower Dotticure

Hi darlings!

Yesterday I did a flower dotticure. I've seen lots of pretty flower dotticures the last few weeks and I've been wanting to do one myself.
I decided to use blue, white and red because those three colours go so well together. I love how this mani turned out. It's elegant since the colours are a little bit muted but it's still fun. I really like it.
I'm very into matte manicures right now. This started out with a supershiny finish but ended up matte. I like both version.

The polishes I've used are OPI OPI... Eurso Euro, OPI Coca Cola Red and OPI Apline Snow. I made the dots and the flowers with a dotting tool. The matte top coat I've used is Pretty Serious Matte All The Things!
