Too Fancy Lacquer Orchid of 2014

It's Friday and that means holo! I want to show you one of the newer polishes from one of my favourite brands. Let's start the day off with Too Fancy Lacquer Orchid of 2014.

Orchid of 2014 is, surprisingly enough, an orchid holo in celebrations of Pantone's colour of the year. The colour of the polish is orchid but I really think of berries in milk. It has the same soft purple-ish pink shade to it. The holo is soft and subtle without being boring. It's a very classy hue in my opinion. Work appropriate but no snooze alert here. I like how soft the polish looks and this is definitely a spring colour to me.

The formula is great. I love the formula of Too Fancy's polishes. They're creamy, a bit on the thicker side and amazing to work with. Two coats gave full coverage and it dries quickly. TC doesn't dull the holo. I think TC is a must for this polish because it dries down to a semi-matte finish.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Too Fancy Lacquer Orchid of 2014 without top coat.

Too Fancy Bejeweled

Well, hello there! I've visited family for the past few days and there really has been no time to blog. Now I'm back home. I have polishes to swatch and a blog to write, so I'm back on track again. I just wanted to pop in here and give you a post. It's Blue Monday after all. This post is all blue and all about Too Fancy Bejeweled.

Bejeweled is a blue-with-a-drop-of-teal polish with a lovely linear holographic effect. Its absolutely stunning, isn't it? This is so lovely. I  love to wear these types of blues. They are so pretty to look at, even though they  bring out the paleness of my skin. But I mean, really, who cares as long as the polish is this stunning? I don't.
The pictures are taken in artificial light and you'll get a bonus pic taken in direct sunlight (yes, I'm so pale my hands look like they belong to a corpse).

The formula is amazing. It applies like butter, in other words, creamy, self leveling and smooth. Utterly flawless. Two coats gave full coverage but one could've easily sufficed. The polish dires quickly and the finish becomes shiny.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Too Fancy Bejeweled and one coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
