Enchanted Polish Cranberry Cosmo

Holo Friday! The best day of the week. The only day you can always count on seeing at least one rainbow. It's just lovely, isn't it?
Today I'm showing you my favourite polish Enchanted Polish Cranberry Cosmo.

Cranberry Cosmo is a cranberry red holo. The base is a dark pink-ish cranberry red with an almost metallic feel to it. I am completely and utterly in love with this. It's actually my  favourite polish. It took me forever to find since it's very elusive and VHTF and it cost me a lot of money. But it was definitely worth it. I mean, look at it! It's so stunning and the holo effect really brings out the lovely red colour. This polish is the ole reason why I love Enchanted Polish a a brand.

The formula is amazing! It's super easy to apply. And guess what! It's a one coater. Yep. I worn it on short nail and on long nails and no matter what it still covers in only one coat. The finish bcomes shiny and it dries quickly. The holo effect is not affected by top coat.
What you see in the pictures is one coat of Enchanted Polish Cranberry Cosmo, no top coat.

Vivid Lacquer Pick Your Portal

Hello! I'm definitely back in this blogging business. Who seriously believed that I would ever get back to posting at least one post per day again. I can sadly say that I had lost my hopes about it. But inspiration struck and what can I say, blogging is extremely fun again. So let's look at a fun polish today,Vivid Lacquer Pick Your Portal.

Pick Your Portal is a white jelly with sky blue and orange glitters. I've had this in my stash forever. At least it feels like that. It is one of those polishes  you buy because it looks so pretty but it stays unused in your Helmer forever. I think I bought this almost a year ago from Edgy Polish. By that time I had wanted it for quite the time after seeing a beautiful swatch of it. Who swatched it? I seriously can't remember. But since the day it arrived it has been unused. Until the other day when I felt these great urge to wear it. So thats what I did.
I paired it up with Essie Butler Please and Essie Meet me at Sunset and I love the combination. The glitters pop agaist the white jelly base and paired with the blue index nail and orange pinky it looks so fun and pretty.

The formula was good. It's a jelly so it's sheer. I used three coats for this mani and as you can see there's still some VNL. It didn't bother me but I think if you're one of those who are allergic to VNL you'd probably want a fourth coat or layer it over a white base. The polish dries quickly and to a fairly smooth finish.
What you see in the pictures are three coats o Vivid Lacquer Pick Your Portal, two coats of Essie Butler Please, two coats of Essie Meet me at Sunset, and one coat of Seche Vite.

Isadora 729 Marzipan

Hello! It's Karin's Green Wednesday today. Since i haven't joined in the fun for a long time I thouht it was time today. I'll show you Isadora 729 Marzipan.

Marzipan is a bright pastel green creme polish. Perfect for spring or whenever you feel like you need a pick me up. The colour makes me happy, though it looks a bit chalky. Just like most bright pastels tend to do. But it's green, it's bright, it's shiny. So really, what's not to like? The only problem I have with th colour is that it gives me a severe cas of Lobster Hands. My hands go bright red.  It isn't too big of a problem but it does distract from the pretty colour.

The formula was good. It's fairly easy to apply. I'm not a big fan of Isadora's enormous brush, it's just way too big for my nails. The polish covers in two thin coat, which is really good for this type of colour. It dries quickly and very shiny.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Isadora 729 Marzipan and one coat of Seche Vite.

LilypadLacquer Red Pearl

Hello!
My day has been incredibly busy. I've packed for the weekend and done a lot of school work. I finally had time sit down and write a post. So what do I show you? LilypadLacquer Red Pearl. It's actually what's on my nails right now.

Red Pearl is a gray polish with a light red, almost pink sheen to it and it has a strong linear holographic effect. Yes, there's a lot going on and yes, it's so beautiful! I love the red shimmer. It's much more visible in real life. It made my camera freak out a little. I really tried to capture it but this was the best I could do.
What I really like about this polish is that it looks beautiful in both sunlight and in the shadow. in direct sunlight, actually whenever any light hit your nails, you get to see the gorgeous holo effect and in the shadow you get to see the red shimmer.

The formula was amazing. It's so easy to apply that it basically applies it self. Three coat gave full coverage, so yes, it's a bit sheer. It dries rather quickly and the finish become very shiny.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of LilypadLacquer Red Pearl and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Too Fancy Lacquer This Love is Smokin' Hot

Well, well, well. What is this? Am I back in business? Yes, I am! So let's start off with a holo, shall we. What do you say about Too Fancy This Love is Smokin' Hot? I say yes!

Too Fancy This Love is Smokin' Hot is a bright, hot pink with a subte holo effect. This is super bright and super pink. I haven't been the biggest fan of pink for a long, long period of time. At least ten years! Before those ten years I loved pink. Now the colour is growing on me and I like it more and more. Especially this kind och bright, barbie pink. It was my favourite colour 15 years ago, so why wouldn't I like it now?
The only issue I had with this polish is actually the brush. The brush was a complete mess. It was in such a bad condition that I couldn't even trim it with a pair of scissor without just cutting the whole thing off. Very unlike Too Fancy who's polishes usually are the top of the line. Four out of seven polishes from the last pre-order had this awful brush, which was a big let down for me. Otherwise I love the colour, the holo and the formula.

The formula was good. It would have been incredibly easy to apply if it wasn't for that horrible brush. Two coats gave full coverage. It dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny.
What you see in the pictures are two cats of Too Fancy This Love is Smokin' Hot and one coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl top coat.

Colors by Llarowe CbL Addicts Attack

Hello! My week has been very busy. A lot to do at Uni and now, during the weekend, my boyfriend and I went to his hometown to visit his family. I did get some time today to do a post so I decided to show you Colors by Llarowe CbL Addicts Attack.

CbL Addicts Attack is an aubergine purple, with red undertones and a lovely linear holographic effect. These pictures have been in my blog archive for months now. I can't believe I haven't shown you this polish earlier. This was a group custom for a facbook group I'm in but when llarowe decided to do charity polish we in the group decided that Leah Ann was allowed to sell the "left over" amount of our group custom as charity polish. So if you were lucky you may have grabbed this in the restock.

I love this polish. I love that it was a custom for our Facbook group, I love the colour, I love the holo, I love the name. I simpply love everything about it. So now it's time for pictures. They are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is amazing, as with most of the Cbl's I own. It applies easily and it's self leveling. Two thin coats gave full coverage. You might get away with one coat if it's a bit thick. it dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Colors by Llarowe CbL Addicts Attack and one coat of Seche Vite.

LilypadLacquer A Bolt Out of the Blue

Once again I've gone M.I.A. This time because I have so much school work to do. My second year at Uni is coming to an end and I have lots and lots to do. But it makes the blog suffer. Not to worry though. I still love to blog about polish, it's not just on the top of my list of priorities. today I had the time though and I'd like to show you LilypadLacquer A Bolt Out of the Blue.

A Bolt Out of the Blue is a cobalt blue polish with a subtle holographic effect. This. Is. Gorgeous. I love this shade of intense coblat blue. It always works and it's especially lovely when it's this brighter shade of cobalt.  The holo effect is very, very subtl. It's visible but it doesn't take over the colour. The most amazing part about this polish is the gorgeous blue coour and not the holo effect.

The formula is a dream! It's like butter. Smooth, creamy and super easy to apply. Two coats gave full coverage and the polish dries quickly. The finish becomes shiny but not incredibly so.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of LilypadLacquer A Bolt Out of the Blue and one coat of Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat.
