Ninja Polish Divinity

 Today I have another favourite of mine to show you. This is Ninja Polish Divinity. I've shown this on the blog once before, you can find those pictures here.

Divinity is a multichrome that shifts between purple, red, green and gold. The colour's a dupe of the elusive Clarins 230 aka Unicorn Pee. This one doesn't need any undies though.
I usually wear it on its own, but this time I decided to layer it over a black creme. The black undies brought out the red shift a lot more.

The pictures are taken in indrect sunlight.

The formula is great. I layered one coat over black. On its own three coats give full coverage. The finish becomes matte, almost satin. If you wat it shiny one coat of top coat is enough.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI Lady in Black, one coat of Ninja Polish Divinity and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Ninja Polish Shillelagh

Hello! It's Green Wednesday today and I have my favourite green to show you today. Again, actually. I've shown you this polish once before, but Ninja Polish Shillelagh is definitely worth to be shown again and again. Let's take a look at it, shall we?

Shillelagh is a green multichromatic polish that shifts between different shades of green and even to gold. It's like a green pot o' gold. If I were a leprechaun I'd definitely not store gold at the end of the rainbow. I'd stor an endless supply of Ninja Polish Shillelagh. That's how gorgeous I think it is. I just love it.

The formula is good. It's easy to apply and goes on smoothly. It's a tad bit sheer, but three coats gave full coverage. It dries down to a semi-matte finish so TC i a must to get that super shiny finish. The lovely shimmer comes out with some TC on it, but it's pretty when semi-matte as well.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of Ninja Polish Shillelagh and one coat of Seche Vite.
 

Comparison of OPI DS Glamour and Ninja Polish Glamourous

It was a really long time since there was a comparison post on this blog. It's been lots of swatches and manicures, but not much else. I think it's time to do something about it. So what better way to start than with something that I've been very curious about. Are OPI DS Glamour and Ninja Polish Glamorous really dupes?
Ninja Polish claims that they are. I actually bought Glamorous jut beacause it was supposed to be a dupe to DS Glamour (my biggest lemming!). I was fortunate enough to b able to buy DS Glamour at a decent price from a lovely girl. I have my biggest lemming ever! And now I can compare the polishes!

So lets get to it! First up is the obligatory bottle shot.

 As you can see they do look quite similar. The holo is stronger in Ninja Polish Glamourous (on the left) than in OPI DS Glamour (on the right). Ninja Polish Glamorous is slightly more purple as well, though I'm not sure it shows in my pictures, but I promise you it is.

I think you can see here that Ninja Polish Glamorous is slightly more purple than DS Glamour. As you can see the holo is a bit stronger and more fine in Ninja Polish Glamorous than in OPI DS Glamour. The holo is Glamour is slightly more scattered but still creates full rainbows.

In this picture you can really see the difference in both colour and holographic effect. Ninja Polish Glamorous is more purple and a tad more holographic.

I think I can say that these are as close as two polishes can be without being dupes. because no, they're not the same, they are similar. I do love OPI DS Glamour more. It's so hard to find, it's not created anymore, it took me ages to find (at a decent price) and it's been one my biggest lemming forever. If you don't care for vhtf polihes then Ninja Polish Glamorous is a perfect alternativ, though that one isn't really easy to get either but easier and a lot cheaper than OPI DS Glamour. I love them both, but DS Glamour is definitely closer to my heart.

Ninja Polish Komodo

Today's first post is one from the archive of unpublished posts. I acctually can't believe I haven't shown you Ninja Polish Komodo sooner. 

Komodo is a multichromatic glitter with a clear base. the glitter shifts from copper, orange, brown, gold, pink and purple. It's gorgeous. I love the colour (or colours maybe?), they're so vivid and the colour shift is very strong. I wore the polish over a black base.

I love Ninja Polish's multichromatic glitters. They are all very pretty and easy to apply. 

The formula was good. A bit thick maybe from all the glitter but it wasn't difficult to apply. I layered two coats over a black base to really show the colours of the glitter. it dries quickly but the finish, as expected, became a bit matte and rough.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather, two coats of Ninja Polish Komodo, one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Seche Vite.

Ninja Polish Basilisk

It's Green Wednesday and Karin's Green Week to raise awareness of depression. Depression is a subject that's very close to my heart. Many of the people I love have or are suffering from depression, and there's still some taboo on the subject. Most people say it's okay to feel depressed sometimes, but I feel like it's not okay to acctually talk about it. Most of the people that are close to me and have a depression feel ashamed of it. They are ashamed of getting  the help they need to get better. There's still a lot of stigma to being depressed and I don't want that to be the case. I think people should be proud that they have the strength to get help and get better.

These pictures have been in my blog archive of unpublished post since the end of July. Time flies by when you're having fun and lots and lots of polishes to try out and blog about. I really feel the need to empty the archive a bit, so I'll start right now with Ninja Polish Basilisk.

Ninja Polish Basilisk is a multichromatic glitter in a clear base. The glitter shifts from a light green, to emerald, gold and even a cool blue. Very beautiful. Probably one of the strongest colour shifting glitter polishes I own.

I'm not very pleased with the photos though. They're a bit blurry and the light isn't the best. Multichromatic polishes have a tendency to look their best in darker lights. I find that most of them look amazing when the light's low and I'm in bed reading a book. But in that sort of light you can't take decent photos. So this is what I ended up with. 

 

The formula is good. The glitter is supposed to be worn over a base. I chose to wear it over black to really make the glitter pop. Two coats gave enough covergae for my liking. The polish dries fast but a bit rough. Top coat gave a shiny and smooth finish.
What you see in the picures are two coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather, two coats of Ninja Polish Basilisk and two coats of Seche Vite.

Ninja Polish Hydra

Jag har varit lite M.I.A. under hela sommaren. Det har både varit skönt att inte behöva tänka på bloggen samtidigt som jag verkligen längtat efter att blogga som vanligt. Det fina vädret och jobb har dock hållit mig ifrån allt vad internet heter. Men jag har målat naglarna, fotat och lagt in bilder i arkivet vilket resulterat i exakt 57 arkivinlägg som väntar på att publiceras nu under hösten. Nu är skolan igång och rutinerna är tillbaka. Så jag börjar med det första arkivinlägget, vilket passar bra då det idag är Blå Måndag hos Tove. Jag visar upp det färgskiftande Ninja Polish Hydra. 

Hydra är ett lack med multikromtglitter i en klar bas. Glittret skiftar i blått, lila, turkost, rosa och i extrema vinklar även koppar. Hur fint som helst. Det är verkligen vackert. Jag älskar Ninja Polish färgskiftande glitterlack. Alla är riktigt fina, med tydlig multikrom effekt. Jag la Hydra över ett svart krämlack för att effekten skulle synas bäst. 

Formulan är bra. Glittret sprider sig jämnt över nageln och det kommer mycket glitter för varje penseldrag, men utan att det blir tjockt och klistrigt. Jag valde att lägga det över svarta China Glaze Liquid Leather, men jag tror att det kan vara riktigt snyggt över ett mörklila eller mörkblått lack också.

Hydra is a multichromatic glitter polish with a clear base. The glitter shifts from blue, purple, turquoise, pink and even to orange in extreme angles. It's just lovely. Very beautiful. I love Ninja Polish's colour shifting glitters. they are all so pretty, with a very visible multichromatic effect. I layered Hydra  over a black creme.

The formula is good. The glitter spreads evenly on the nail. the glitter dispersal is good and it does not make the polish thick och glue-like. I layered it over China Glaze Liquid Leather, but I think it can look great over an eggplant or maybe ink blue creme as well. 

What you see in the pictures are two coats of China Glaze liquid Leather, two coats of Ninja Polish Hydra, and two coats of Seche Vite.

Ninja Polish Chameleon

 

Ni som följer mig på instagram (NailLacquerLove heter jag!) vet att jag igår fick hem fyra av lacken ur Ninja Polish senaste kollektion Dragon. Detta, Chameleon, är ett av dem.

Chameleon är ett glitterlack med multikromatiskt glitter i en genomskinlig bas. Glittret skiftar i lila, orange, brunt, guld, blått och rosa. Väldigt svårt att fota men otroligt vackert. Jag har lagt det över en svart bas för att färgerna verkligen ska komma fram.

Jag är ju väldigt svag för Ninja Polish och dessutom älskar jag multikroma lack. Det här lacket gillar jag verkligen. Det är så himla, himla fint. Färgskiftningarna är mycket starkare i verkligheten. 

 

Formulan är bra. Lacket är varken för tunt eller för tjockt. Det är lätt att applicera i tunna lager och glittret sprider sig jämnt över nageln. Torktiden är bra men lacket torkar lite matt. Finishen blir inte särskilt kornig. Det ni ser på bilderna är ett lager China Glaze Liquid Leather, två lager Chameleon, ett lager Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food och ett lager Seche Vite.

Translation: If you follow me on instagram (NailLacquerLove is my name there!) you know that I yesterday recieved four of the new Ninja Polish from the new collection called Dragon. This one, Chameleon, is one of them. 
Chameleon is a glitter polish with multichromatic glitter in a clear base. The glitter shifts colour between purple, blue, gold, orange, brown and pink. Incredibly hard to photograph but insanely beautiful. It's absolutely lovely. I like it so, so much. 
The formula is good. It's not too thin nor too thick. It's easy to apply it and the glitter spreads evenly on the nail. The dry time is good but the finish dries a little matte. The finish is not very rough. What you seein the pictures are one coat of China Glaze Liquid Leather, two coats of Chameleon, one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Seche Vite.

Ninja Polish Freedom Floam

 

4th of July var ju förra veckan och även om jag inte hade tid att fira här på bloggen så gjorde jag ändå en manikyr med Ninja Polish nysläppta Freedom Floam.

Freedom Floam är ett glitterlack med matta glitter i rött, vitt och blått i en genomskinlig bas. Amerikas flaggas färger. Jag upplever ofta att Floam-lacken inte täcker särskilt väl ofta krävs tre lager för full täckning. Jag hade inte orken till det utan gjorde i stället en reversed gradient och en accent nagel helt målad med Freedom Floam. Jag gillar det skarpt! Jag tycker inte Freedom Floam ser så knottrig ut som många av de andra Floam-lacken gör.

Det var en fin 4th of July-manikyr. Jag firade helt enkelt med målade naglar och att tralla på Lana del Rey National Anthem.

Formulan är bra. Det är lättapplicerat och glittret sprider sig jämnt över nageln. Det torkar fort, matt och lite skrovligt. Jag valde att göra en gradient och lacket som fick agera bas är OPI Eurso Euro. Det är även det lacket som är underkläder för accentnageln. Jag har ett lager OPI Eurso Euro som bas och två lager Freedom Floam på accentnageln. På alla naglar har jag även ett lager Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food och ett lager Seche Vite.

Translation: 4th of July was last week and even though I didn't have the time to post a manicure that day I did one with the new Ninja Polish called Freedom Floam. 

Freedom Floam is a glitter polish with red, white and blue matte glitter in a clear base. I did a reversed gradient with a fully painted accent nail. I really liked it.

The fomula was good. It's easy to apply and the glitter spreads evenly on the nail. It dries quickly, matte and a bit rough. I chose to do a gradient and my base colour was OPI Eurso Euro. On my accent nail I have one coat of of Eurso Euro and two coats of Freedom Floam. I finished the manicure with one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Seche Vite.

Ninja Polish Glamorous

Idag är det Blå måndag och jag bär ett av de nyaste Ninja Polish lacken, Glamorous.
Glamorous är ett blått holo med väldigt fin holoeffekt. Det är ett alldeles underbart hololack. Enligt Ninja Polish ska det vara en dead on dupe till OPI DS Glamour. Därav namnet Glamorous. Hur det är med den saken kan jag tyvärr inte svara på för jag äger inte DS Glamour.
Oavsett om det är en dupe eller inte så är det galet vackert. Regnbågarna och färgen ser alldeles fantastiska ut i solljus.

Formulan är bra. Lacket är varken för tunt eller för tjockt. Det är väldigt likt Jade-lacken i formulan, lite jelly-aktig. Två lager ger full täckning och inget Aqua Fix behövs. Det torkar snabbt, glansigt och överlack påverkar inte holoeffekten.
Det ni ser på bilderna är två lager Ninja Polish Glamorous och ett lager Poshé.

Translation: It's Blue Monday and I'm wearing a new Ninja Polish called Glamorous. Glamorous is a  blue holographic polish with lovely rainbows. It's truly gorgeous. According to Ninja Polish it's a dead on dupe to OPI DS Glamour, hence the name Glamorous. I don't own DS Glamour so I can't do a comparison.
The formula is good. It's like butter. It's a bit like Jade's holographic polishes, almost jelly-like. Two coats give full coverage and no Aqua Fix is needed. It dries quickly, shiny and top coat will not affect the holo effect. What you see in the picures are two coats of Ninja Polish Glamorous and one coat of Poshé

Ninja Polish Shamrock Floam

 

Idag, nästan en vecka efter St. Patrick's Day får ni se vad jag mer bar i söndags. Självklart var det grönt som gällde och jag bar det andra av Ninja Polish's St. Patrick's Day inspirerade lack. Det här är Ninja Polish Shamrock Floam. Det är en del av Floam-kollektionen och innehåller precis som de andra Floam-lacken matta glitter.

Shamrock Floam är en blandning av ljusgröna, mörkgröna och vita matta hexagonala glitter i en genomskinlig bas. 

Nog tänker jag på Irland när jag ser det här lacket men allra mest tänker jag på filmen Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. Harry och Hermione följer med Ron's familj på världsmästerskapen i Quidditch och Fred, George och Ginny har grönavita randiga hattar på sig eftersom de hejar på just Irland.

Hursomhelst, jag gillar alla mina Floam-lack och det här är inget undantag. Jag är väldigt förtjust i Shamrock Floam. Det ser lite ut som på våren när gräset blivit grönt och liljekonvaljerna blommar. 

Formulan är bra och lacket är enkelt att måla med. Torktiden är okej och finishen blir matt. På bilderna har jag två lager av Shamrock Floam över två lager Ninja Polish Shillelagh. Som ni ser är det en hel del glitter och jag tror att lacket blir opakt på tre lager om det bärs på egen hand. Shamrock Floam är en riktigt topplacksätare. Ett litet monster. Jag var beredd på det å det störde mig inte. Två tjocka lager Seche Vite gjorde ytan slät ochglansig. För att ytan ska fortsätta vara glansig så är det bäst att lägga ett lager till efter några timmar och sedan en gång varje dag om man inte är en sådan som jag som byter lack varje eller varannan dag. 

Translation: Today, almost a week after St. Patrick's Day, I showing you the second polish I wore then. 

This is Ninja Polish Shamrock Floam. It's part of the Floam-family and as the rest of the Floam polishes it contains of matte glitter in a clear base.

Shamrock Floam is a glitter with emerlad green, darker green and white matte hex glitter suspended in a clear base. I really like and I definitely think of Ireland when I see the polish.

The formula is good and the polish is easy to apply. The dry time is alright and it dries to a matte finish. What you see in the pictures are two coats of Shamrock Floam layered over two coats of Ninja Polish Shillelagh. As you can see the glitter dispersal is great and I think three coats would give full coverage if worn on its own. Shamrock Floam eats top coat so I used two thick coats of Seche Vite and still had to put on one moe coat after a few hours. It didn't bother me.

Ninja Polish Shillelagh

 

Idag är det Grön Onsdag hos Karin på Vacker & Underbar och jag visar er vad jag bar på St. Patrick's Day i söndags. Jag fick hem två nya St. Patrick's Day inspirerade lack från Ninja Polish i fredags och ville ju genast prova dem. De första av de två lacken är Ninja Polish Shillelagh som är en del i den ganska ny kollektionen Enigma. Shillelagh, vilket ord! Prova att säga det högt, de går inte utan att man får en irländsk accent. Som den anglofil jag är älskar jag så klart namnet! Och färgen är helt underbar. 

Shillelagh är ett multikromt lack som skiftar i flera nyanser av grönt. Fråm smaragdgrönt till guldgrönt. Jag tog bilderna under min lampa och alla skiftningar syns därför inte lika bra som i verkligheten. Mina bilder gör därför inte lacket rättvisa alls. Det här är ett lack som måste ses på riktigt. Det är så jäkla vackert. Jag är ju en sucker för gröna lack och det här är inget undantag. Så himla, himla fint.

 

 

Formulan var bra. Lacket är enkelt att måla med och torkar väldigt fort. Dock är det ganska skirt men tre lager gav nästan full täckning. Lite VNL kan skymtas på pekfingret i vissa ljus men det är inget som stör mig alls. Lacket torkar matt så överlack krävs för att få en glansig yta.

Jag älskar verkligen Shillelagh. Det är fantastiskt. Just nu är det slutsålt hos ninjapolish.com men om ni gillar grönt och lyckas få tag på det så skaffa det! Det är verkligen värt det.

Shillelagh is a multichrome that shifts colours between different shades of green. it's absolutely gorgeous. I really love this polish. The colourshifts were o hard to capture on camera so my pictures do not make the polish justice.
The formula is good.The polish is easy to apply and dries very quickly. The polish is sheer though and three coats almost gave me full coverage. You can still see some VNL on some nails in certain lightings but that's nothing that bothers me. The polish dries matte so top coat is needed to make the finish shiny.
