Christmas Sweater Nail Art

Does anyone actually think ugly christmas sweaters are ugly? Because I certainly don't think they are. Most of them are cute and fun.

I did a Christmas Sweater Nail Art. I used Moyou London Festive Plate 04, a plate with different Christmas sweater patterns.
The polishes I've used are OPI Coca Cola Red and OPI Alpine Snow. I know, the pattern went on a little wonky but this was the first time in months that I stamped my nails. I need to do some more stamping to get back some of my stamping skills. I turned out alright though, and I realy like result. It's perfect for Christmas.

Colors by Llarowe Santa Baby

 Hello darlings!

I'd like to show you my favourite from CbL's Winter 2015 Collection today. This is Santa Baby.

Santa Baby is a christmas red holo with red micro glitter. This is Christmas perfection in a bottle. I literally screamed when I opened the parcel and saw this. It's so gorgeous. The red micro glitter adds sparkle and depth and looks like embedded emeralds in the base.
It sometimes flashes slightly pink but thats because of the holo effect that has a pink tone to it. Hands down my favourite from the collection. I'm not surprised though. I love, love, love red holos. The micro glitter just makes it better.
I love the name as well. Santa Baby (especially the one sung by Eartha Kitt) is one of my favourite Christmas songs. It's fun and witty and wonderful.

The photos are taken in artificial lighting.

The formula is impeccable, it smooth and practically applies itself.  Two coats give full coverage. The finish becomes shiny and smooth, even tough there's glitter. Top coat won't dull the holo.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Colors by Llarowe Santa Baby and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Different Dimension Nose So Bright

Hi darlings!

I've been conflicted about showing you this polish and others from Different Dimension. The reason? Bad experience with their customer service. I didn't get all the polishes I ordered from them once and even though I sent several emails and tried to contact them via Facebook they never responded. So the polish I bought,  and they didn't send, I never got. That makes me pissed and I've never bought from them again.
A bad customer service really is the number one thing that makes me never buy anything from a brand again. Luckily most polish brands have lovely customer services. I can't say that about Different Dimension. Which is sad because I really like the few polishes I have from them.

Back to the polish. This one is Nose So Bright from last year's holiday collection.

Nose So bright is a red cruelly with sterling silver flakes. The crelly is transparent enough to let the flakes peek through. It really is a lovely polish and it's perfect for the holidays.

The pictures are taken in artificial lighting.

The formula is alright. It's quite thick and it's a little difficult to get even on the nails. It covers in two coats though, so it's not a major problem.
The finish becomes super shiny when dry.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Different Dimension Nose So Bright  and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystak Coat.

Cupcake Polish Just Sleighing Around

I have to catch up and show you all the polishes I'd like to show you before Christmas. I've been scheduling posts all day so you'll have at least on post a day from now on.

I have a lot of polishes from last years Holiday collections to show. This is one of them, Cupcake Polish Just Sleighing Around.

Just Sleighing Around is a pink toned red with a strong holographic effect. It's reallly pretty. Its a warm red that works all year round. The pink undertone tones down the Christmas feel of it while still being perfect for the Holiday season.

The pictures are taken in artficial lighting.

The formula is flawless. Two coats give full coverage. The finish becomes shiny but for it to be truly glossy you need a coat of top coat.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Cupcake Polish Just Sleighing Around and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Cupcake Polish Deck the Malls

It's Green Wednesday today so, of course, I have to show you a green polish as well today. Two posts in one day, whoa, being home sick can obviously be productive.

This is Cupcake Polish Deck the Malls. Who's to say you can't show Christmas Polishes in June. After all, it's only six months left.

Deck the Malls is a vibrant green jelly packed with green prismatic micro glitter and black micro glitter. It's gorgeous. I love this shade of green. It's very festive but works all year around. Even now, in the midst of summer. The black micro glitter makes this polish more interesting and makes it stand out from similiar greens.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is great. Two coats give full coverage. It dries very quickly. The finish becomes semi matte and it dries a little textured so you need top coat to make the finish smooth and shiny.

What you see in th pictures are two coats of Cupcake Polish Deck the Malls, one coat of Pretty Serious Aqua Coat and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Smitten Polish Nose So Bright

Hi guys!

Yes it' summer now but I still have posts from Christmas in my blogger archive that haven't been published. This is one of those posts. I think it's time to show you this one. It's an absoulute stunner. This is Smitten Polish Nose so Bright.

Nose so Bright is true red holo. It's slightly pink leaning in certain lights but it's definitely a true red.
I love red holos and Smitten has made a lot of  amazing red holos but this one is the best of them. I love how deep and vibrant the colour is. It's perfect for the Holiday season as well as any occasion when you feel like red is the way to go.
I acctually need a back up of this one. That's how much I love it.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is impeccable. Two coats gave full coverage and it dries quickly. The finish becomes very shiny. Top coat does not affect the holographic effect.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Smitten Polish Nose So Bright and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Delush Polish Green With Ivy

Hi sweeties!
It's Green Wednesday! Today I'll show you Delush Polish Green with Ivy.

Green with Ivy is an ivy green jelly green glitter in different shades, shapes and sizes. I can see some emerald green, lime green and forest green glitters. Isn't it pretty? This was part of the Holidaze collection but works well any season of the year. I love how the glitters peek through the jelly base and make the polish glow from within. It's so so pretty.
I've only tried one polish from Delush before, All that glitters is not Gold, and so far I'm really pleased with them.

The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight.

The formula is good. Three coats give full coverage. It dries quickly and becomes quite smooth and shiny even though there's a lot of glitter.

What you see in the pictures are three coats of Delish Polish Green With Ivy and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Colors by Llarowe The Man in the Red Suit

Throwback Thursday! Let's revisit Christmas 2013 with Colors by Llarowe The Man in the Red Suit.

The Man in the Red Suit is pink leaning red holo. It's gorgeous. It's such a pretty red colour. I really like that it leans a little pink, that makes it wearable during all seasons of the year. I especially love wearing pink leaning reds during summer. It's a little more fun and flirty than a more blue toned red.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is great. It applies like butter. Two thin coats give full coverage. It dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Colors by Llarowe The Man in the Red Suit and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

OPI Fashion A Bow

Hello darlings!
Another post from the blogger archive today.
This is OPI Fashion A Bow from the Gwen Stefani 2014 Holuday Collection.

Fashion A Bow is a tomato red crelly. This is perfection in a bottle, especially if you're looking for an orange leaning red. This is classy with a twist.
The colour is absolutely amazing! It's so vibrant and juicy.

The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight.

The formula is really good! It's a little bit thin but not runny so it won't flood the cuticles. Two coats gave enough coverage but there is still some VNL. Not much though and a third coat will probably give you full coverage. I actually like that you can see some VNL, I like to keep that jelly feel. It dries quickly and the finish becomes super shiny even without top coat.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI Fashion A Bow and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat. The base coat used is Pretty Serious Rock On!

OPI Red Fingers and Misteltoes

Hello!
Another post from the blogger archive.
Today I'm going to show you OPI Red Fingers and Misteltoes from the Gwen Stefani 2014 Holiday Collection.

Red Fingers and Misteltoes is a crimson red with lots and lots of golden shimmer.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I love the golden shimmer. The base is translucent enough to let all the shimmer peek through but opaque enough to give good coverage.
The shimmer gives it that "lit from with" look that is so stunning. This is my favourite from the collection. A stunner!

The pictures were taken back in December in indirect sunlight, so they're a tad bit dark.

The formula was good. Two coats gave full coverage. It dries quickly and the finish becomes very shiny.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI Red Fingers and Mistletoes and one coat Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.
