ILNP Overnight Bag

Hello darlings!

Today I'll show you ILNP Overnight Bag from the fall collection. ILNP has really amped up its game for this collection, all of it looks amazing.

Overnight Bag is a coffe brown base that has burgundy undertones and tons of prismatic, tiny glitter flakes. It's stunning, vampy and has lots of depth. A true fall beauty. I've worn this three times already, that's how much I love it.

The photos are taken under artificial lighting.

The formula is flawless. Two coats give full coverage and the finish becomes shiny and smooth when dry. Top coat seems to enhance the colour and sparkle.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of ILNP Overnight Bag and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Smitten Polish Seasonal Lattes

I know, I know. I've utterly and completely  sucked att blogging the last two weeks. In my defence I can only blame uni and work. I have so much to do I barely know where to start. It's the last semester of my bachelor's degree programme in social work, I also signed up on an extra course in archeology and I work two days a week at the social services office.

Anyway, we're already mid-way trough September and I haven't really shown you any Autumn-y polish yet. So that's exactly what I'll do today. This is Smitten Polish Seasonal Lattes from 2014's fall collection, which was an amazing collection.

Seasonal Lattes is a golden-ish brown with an intense holo effect. The colour is AAAHMAZING!
I mean, look at it! It's so gorgeous! The perfect brown holo. It has both golden and green undertones which makes the colour rich and cozy and absolutely beautiful. This was my favourite brown polish last autumn and one of my favourite Smittens. It's still a favourite Smitten and it's still my favourite brown for fall.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is great. It covers in two thin coats. It does stain a little, nothing major but you're nails might get a greenish tint to them if you don't use two coats of a good top coat. I used Pretty Serious Rock On! It dres quickly and the finish becomes super shiny. Top coat doen't dull the holo.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Smitten Polish Seasonal Lattes and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Smitten Polish Penny Dreadful

October is one of those months that I really like! It's gorgeous outside and Halloween is soon here. And of course there are a lot of lovely fall polish colections. One of the most anticipated collections for me was Smitten Polish's fall collection. I bought the whole collection and so far I've only shown you Seasonal Lattes. Today I have another polish from the collection to show you, Penny Dreadful.

Penny Dreadful is  copper-y brown jelly with purple undertones and tons of prismatic microglitter. This is the best type of glitter polish! No one does jelly microglitters quite like Noelie. She is an artist, truly! I love the colour of this one. it's perfect for fall. An amazing colour that suits probably every skintone. The glitter adds lots and lots of depth.
The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula was good, it's not gloopy at all even though the amount of glitter is huge. Two coats gave full coverage and they self leveled perfectly. It dires quickly to a matte, quite rough finish. Two coats of top coat made the finish shiny and smooth.
What you see in the pitures are two coats of Smitten Polish Penny Dreadful, one coat of Nail Pattern Blodness Glitter Food and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Smitten Polish Seasonal Lattes

Holo Friday! Of course I want to participate. Today I'm showing you Smitten Polish Seasonal Lattes.

SeasonalLattes is a chocolate (or coffe?) brown polish with a strong linear holographic effect. Noelie has done it again! She's truly mastered the art of making beautiful holos. This is prbably the most gorgeous brown holo that exists. The deep chocolate brown colour is just perfect and it has a golden shine to it that I just love. The holo is so strong and beautiful and adds lots and lots of depth. Definitely a new favourit fall colour. I feel the need to get a back up bottle of this, that's how much I love the colour.

The formula is great! The polish covers in two coats and dries quickly. It dris down to a shiny finish. It wears like iron too! I wore this for five days without any shipping. I changed the polish not because I had to but because I wanted to. Also, the holo effect isn't affected by top coat.

OPI Warm & Fozzie

Hi lovelies!
Today I have one of the few "go-to" polishes in my stash to show you. It's OPI Warm & Fozzie. It's from the Muppets Holiday collection from a couple of years back.

Warm & Fozzie is a golden brown duochrome micro flakie. The colours shift from golden brown to a warm pink. The shift is very subtle though. The flakies can be better seen in the macro at the bottom.
This is my go-to fall polish. I love it. It's one of my favourite polishes. Whenever I don't know what polish to wear during the fall I paint my nails with this. I actually own two back up bottles of it. Is that crazy? A little maybe. I just love the colour, how pretty it is and how it compliments my skintone.

The formula is good. the pish is a bt sheer. Three coats gave full coverage on my short nails. When I have longer nails I usually need four coats to get complete coverage. It dries quickly and very shine. A slight warning though, this is a pain to remove. The flakies stick so hard to your nails and when you finally get the polish off your nails you have it all over your hands instead. I think it's worth it, it's so pretty.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of OPI Warm & Fozzie and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Smitten Polish Cocoa & Cardis "Messed Up batch". It's actually Darkest Chocolate.

I started my internship this week. It feels amazing, it's much fun and I'm really busy all the time. Therefore I've scheduled posts for you. A couple of posts every day. That'd be fun, right? Istead of me only showing you one polish a day I can actually show you a few every day. It's so much easier for me to write everything in English. It helps a lot to not have to translate every text to Swedish.
What I'd like to show you now is Smitten Polish Darkest Chocolate, it's a messed up batch Noelie accidentally made when mixing a batch of  Cocoa & Cardis.

Darkest Chocolate is a chocolate brown holo. The holographic effect is a bit subtle but strong enough to create pretty rainbows. It's a perfect fall holo. I think brown holo really has been the big thing this fall. I've bought a couple that I thought stood out and this is one of them. I love the brown base colour, it's a purple-ish brown that I really find interesting. What can I say, Noelie knows how to make holos.

The formula left me with a few things to wish for. It was a bit thick and didn't really self level as much as I would have liked it to. It was a bit tricky to apply. It dried quickly and top coat made the surface level out and look smooth.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Smitten Polish Darkest Chocolate and one coat of Seche Vite.

Translation: I'm shocking you today with supershort nails. I had to cut them down last week because of my job this summer. I still have a few posts of some OPI polishes in my archive where I still have long nails, but I will post these shortly. I've gotten used to my shorties now and I actually like them, so today I felt confident enough to show you them polished with Cirque French Roast.
French Roast is a brown glitter polish with tiny golden brown glitter and larger hex glitter in the same colour. I love this polish. I find it absolutely stunning. I decided to do a gradient with an accent nail.
The formula is good. It's easy to apply and it's not too thick or too thin. It dries quickly and a bit matte. The finish is a bit rough., but two coats of top coat makes it smooth and shiny. It's a top coat muncher though, so you  have to apply top coat agan once in a while to maintain a shiny finish. Three coats of Cirque French Roast are needed for full coverage. For the gradient I used OPI My Vampire is Buff as base. It looks pretty.

Enchanted Polish Hot Chocolate

Inget Aqua Fix behövs under heller. Det ni ser på mina bilder är två lager Hot Chocolate och ett lager Seche Vite.

Translation: Today I have one of the few brown polishes that I like to show you, Enchanted Polish Hot Chocolate.
Hot Chocolate is a brown holo with a not so strong but still very pretty holo effect. I rarely wear brown polishes since I'm not very found of the colour. But this is the right type of brown for my skin tone and the holo makes it so pretty so I can't hep but to really like it.
The formula is good. It's easy to apply and not too thick or too thin. The finish is shiny and top coat will not affect the holo effect. No Aqua Fix is needed, which is always a plus. What you see in my pictures are two coats of Hot Chocolate and one coat of Seche Vite.

OPI Skyfall

Translation: Today I'm going to the ciema to watch the new Bond movie Skyfall. What could be better  to wear on my nails than OPI Skyfall
Skyfall is a brownish red creme with a very glossy finish.
The polish looks a bit boring in the bottle but it's amazing on the nail.
The formula was a little bit runnier than the other polishes from the kollektion, but it's still good.
Two coats give full coverage.
