OPI Underneath the Mistletoe

I think it's time for some Holiday polishes, don't you? I'm a sucker for the Holidays! I love Christmas. It's my favourite holiday and now it's just around the corner. I think it's tim to show you OPI Underneath the Mistletoe.

Underneath the Mistletoe is a berry red crelly with fine sliver micro glitter. It's not the typical Christmas hue, at least not for me but this screams Christmas to me. I just love it. The colour is so rich and the glitter adds a beautiful deptht o the polish. It does look a bit flat in my photos, but I can assure you it's amazing in real life.

The polish covers in two coats and dries quickly. The finish become shiny but a bit rough because of all the glitter. A few coats of top coat make the finish shiny and smooth. I love how shiny it becomes with a little top coat. The glitters sparkle like crazy.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI Underneath the Mistletoe and two coats of China Gaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

Emily de Molly When Planets Collide

Hi everyone! I've once again gone MIA on you. I've been so busy with my internship. I might go a bit MIA again this week, but because of a completely different reason. I was in a car accident yesterday. It was only me no one else. I reached over to grab a bottle of water, lost control over the car and drove down into a very deep ditch. The car seems to be pretty trashed but I'm fine. Some sore muscles in the neck but I'm completely fine otherwise. I'll post some manicures and swatches when I feel like I want to this week, but sitting down in front of a computer makes my neck hurt more.
Anyways, it's Blue Monday and I'm showing you Emily de Molly When Planets Collide

When Planets Collide  is a black jelly with orange and blue hex glitter in different sizes. It's gorgeous! I love it. The black jelly base is translucent enough to let the glitters shine through but it still covers in three coats. There's a lovely depth to it wich really comes through both worn on its own and layered over other colours.

The formula is good. It covers in three coats. I've layered it over a black creme. It dries quickly and shiny, but a bit rough. Top coat makes the finish shiny and smooth.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of Emily de Molly When Planets Collide, one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and two coats of Seche Vite.

Cirque Bejeweled

It's Blue Monday! I've been a bit M.I.A during the weekend  but now I'm back. Full on. I'd like to show you Cirque Bejeweled. It's been lost in the cavern of lost posts forever but now found it's way out of there. Sort of.

Bejeweled is a royal blue polish with a lovely holographic effect. It's so pretty. Not very unique, but I love blue holos so that doesn't matter. I like that the holographic effect is a bit softer and not so much in your face, but still very viible. The blue shade is gorgeous. Just the type of colour I'm head over heels about.
The polish is scented with what i think is lavender oil. It's smells a lot like lavender. The scent's a bit overwhelming during application but once the polish's dry it's not as intrusive.

The formula's good. A bit thick but easy to apply. two coats gave full covrage and there's no need for Aqua Fix. Top Coat won't affect the holographic effect. It dries quickly and a bit matte.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Cirque Bejeweled and one coat of Seche Vite.

Smitten Polish Cocoa & Cardis "Messed Up batch". It's actually Darkest Chocolate.

I started my internship this week. It feels amazing, it's much fun and I'm really busy all the time. Therefore I've scheduled posts for you. A couple of posts every day. That'd be fun, right? Istead of me only showing you one polish a day I can actually show you a few every day. It's so much easier for me to write everything in English. It helps a lot to not have to translate every text to Swedish.
What I'd like to show you now is Smitten Polish Darkest Chocolate, it's a messed up batch Noelie accidentally made when mixing a batch of  Cocoa & Cardis.

Darkest Chocolate is a chocolate brown holo. The holographic effect is a bit subtle but strong enough to create pretty rainbows. It's a perfect fall holo. I think brown holo really has been the big thing this fall. I've bought a couple that I thought stood out and this is one of them. I love the brown base colour, it's a purple-ish brown that I really find interesting. What can I say, Noelie knows how to make holos.

The formula left me with a few things to wish for. It was a bit thick and didn't really self level as much as I would have liked it to. It was a bit tricky to apply. It dried quickly and top coat made the surface level out and look smooth.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Smitten Polish Darkest Chocolate and one coat of Seche Vite.

Emily de Molly Hole in the Sky

Today I'm showing you a post from what I like to call the Cavern of Lost Posts (aka my blogger archive for unpublished posts).  I wanted to show you Emily de Molly Hole in the Sky ages ago, but I wasn't very pleased with the pictures. Now I've decided that the pictures I have are alright so I can finally show this.

Hole in the Sky is a pastel blue crelly with prismatic, blue and white glitter in different shapes and sizes. It's very beautiful I love how it's both perfect for winter and spring at the same time. The pastel feels like spring but the prismatic and white glitter makes it sparkle as snow.
As I've told you I'm not very pleased with how the photos came out. The prismatic glitter isn't visible in my photos so you can't really see the depth the prismatic effect creates. I guess I just have to wear it again and take new photos to show you.

The formula is good. It covered in two coats and was easy to apply. The glitter spreads evenly on the nail. There's no need for fishing for glitter, which I know many of you like. I don't find fishing very troubling. It can actually feel quite therapeutic to sit and fish for glitter. Anyways, It dried quickly and the finish became shiny but a bit rough.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Emily de Molly Hole in the Sky, one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

China Glaze This Is Tree-mendous

I think it's time to start showing some Christmas hues. I love Christmas and I think half of my stash consist of holiday themed polishes. I just find the Holiday collections to be the best collections of the year. So today I have China Glaze This Is Tree-mendous from the new collection Happy Holiglaze.

This Is Tree-mendous is a glitter with green and golden micro glitter in a clear base.  The prominent colour is green but you can still see the golden glitter. Perfect for Green Wednesday!
It's pretty and a great colour for the holiday. I just wish that the colour was a bit deeper and a darker shade of green. It's beautiful as it is but I think a darker shade would feel more Christmas like.
I love China Glaze's micro glitters. They're very opaque and well put together.

The formula was good. Application was easy peasy. I have nothing to complain about. It covered in three thin coats. As expected the finish became matte and a little rough. A few coats of top coat made the finish shiny and smooth.
What you see in the pictures are three thin coats of China Glaze This Is Tree-mendous, one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and two coats of Seche Vite.

Cirque & Jeannie Vianney Coronation

I can't believe I still haven't shown you this! I've been busy with my studies and yesterday I started my ten week long internship. So Cirque Coronation just slipped my mind.

Cirque Coronation is a collaboration between Cirque and jewelry designer Jeannie Vianney. The polish and the ring that comes with it are supposed to be complementary which I really think they are!

Coronation is a multichrome purple jelly with specks of primatic glitters. It shifts from purple to red to gold to green and between the shifts you can see the sparkle of the prismatic glitter. It's stunning! Like Max Factor Fantasy Fire but on steroids.
I think that even if I showed you a million photos of this then you still wouldn't understand how gorgeous this polish is. You just have to see it with your own eyes!

The ring is modeled to the shape of a crown and it's lovely. I really, really like it!

As far as formula goes, it's good. Nothing to complain about. A bit thick maybe, but I like my polishes on the thicker side. It's easy to apply though the first two coats come off as a bit patchy. I needed three coats for full coverage. The polish dries quickly but semi-matte. Additional layers of top coat are needed, because even though it doesn't look like it this polish is top coat thirsty.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of Cirque Coronation, one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and two coats of Seche Vite.

Deborah Lippmann Va Va Voom

I feel so dumb. The scheduled posts I promised you for this weekend, well I forgot to schedule them. I hope I can make it up to you today by showing you a few different polishes. First up is Deborah Lippmann Va Va Voom.

Va Va Voom is a transclusent blue jelly with blue prismatic hex glitters. This is so gorgeous! It's from the collection Jewel Heist that was released this autumn.
It can cover on its own but I layered it over an inky shimmer. I love how the prismatic effect plays over the nails. It's sort of slow, if you understand how I mean. Not that crazy type of prismatic glitter, it's much calmer yet super sparkly. I really do love it!
The depth of the polish is beautiful and I think it really shows when layered like this.

The formula was a bit tricky. It's a bit thick and the glitters tend to form clusters. Thin layers give the best result. I layered two (thin) coats over Deborah Lippmann Rollin' in the Deep. It dried quickly but a bit matte and rough. Top coat made the finish shiny and smooth.
What you see in the pictures are three thin coats of Deborah Lippmann Rollin' in the Deep, two coats of Va Va Voom, one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and two coats of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.
