Cupcake Polish The Olympics Collection: Swatches & Review

Hi guys!

I know I promised you these swatches to be up last week but life got in the way.

This is Cupcake Polish The Olympics Collection that was made for the Summer Olympics 2016. So yeah, I'm a bit late with this review. It's  a six piece holo collection. I loved the names in this collection they are so clever!
They're all creme holos and they apply beautifully.

Let's take a look.

Row me to the Gold

Row me to the Gold is a golden yellow holo. It's pretty and bright. It's just that I don't like it on myself. I think it's nice in the bottle but when on my nails it just isn't that exciting. This is two coats and top coat.

Pool it Together

Pool it Together is an ocean blue holo. I really like this. The colour is so vibrant and bright. Two coats and top coat.

Not My Vault

Not My Vault is a muted orange. It's not as briht and vibrant as the others and has yellow undertone to it. It's nice but this is the one I like the least in the collection. It's not as vibrant or orange as I'd like it to be. Two coats and top coat.

I'm a Soccer for Green

I'm a Soccer for Green is a bright lime green holo. This my favourite. It's bright, fun and a perfect summer green. I love it. Two coats and top coat.

One in a Brazil-ion

One in a Brazil-ion is a strwberry red holo. This is beautiful. It's that perfect colour between red and pink. Two coats and top coat.

Track Me Down

Track Me Down is a black holo. It's super pretty. As most back holos this leans a little on the charcoal side of black. Two coats and top coat.

Lilypad Lacquer Rebel at Heart

Hi darlings!

Let's take look at one of my favourite reds, Lilypad Lacquer Rebel at Heart. I can't believe I haven't shown you this one before because I've worn it more times than I can remember.

Rebel at Heart is a deep, deep blood red holo. It's so stunning. It's so vibrant and really vampy. Honestly, your polish collection won't be complete without this one.

The formula is great, a little thin but since it's so pigemented one coat gives full coverage. I did two for more depth.

What you see in the pictures are twoc oats of Lilypad Lacquer Rebel at Heart and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Glam Polish No Lei-Overs! (LE) Swatches & Review

Hi darlings!

Today I want to show you Glam Polish No Lei-Overs! Collection. It's a gorgeous  six piece collection inspired by the  Hawaiian islands. And yes, it really makes you think of beaches, coconut drinks and palm trees in the sun.

There are four glitters and two holos in this collection. The formulas of all of them are great. The glitters are thick but not too thick and easy to apply. The holos go on so smoothly and levels out perfectly.

I really wish I was at a beach in a tropical paradise. Here in Sweden it seems like fall is already on its way. It's already starting to get colder and darker outside.

All photos are taken in artificial lighting.

Hawaii Kai

Hawaii Kai is a turquoise leaning teal base with blue, turquoise, teal and bright green glitter. This is the Ocean in a bottle. It's absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorites in the collection.
Two coats and top coat.

Lanikai Dreaming

Lanikai Dreaming is pale gold holo with lots and lots of matte pink and white glitter. It's fun, flirty and feminine. Since the base is so neutral this is perfect for both work and a friday night out. The base tones it down while still being really glittery and pretty. The only prolem I had with this one is that even after two coats of top coat the finish was slightly textured.

Two coats and top coat.

Hanalei Sunset

Hanalei Sunset is a gorgeous blurple jelly with blue, pink and purple prismatic glitter. It has so much depth. It was super hard to photograph though. This is one of those polishes you really have to see for yourself.

Two coats and top coat

Lei'd in Lahaina

Lei'd in Lahaina is a magenta holo with magenta, pink,  white and even som copper glitter. It sparkles like crazy! Even though there's so much glitter in it one coat of top coat does the trick and makes the finish shiny and smooth.

Two coats and top coat.

Hibiscus Hideaway

Hibiscus Hideaway is an orange toned red holo. In some lightings it leans more orange and in other more red. In some it even leans pinkish red. This is my favourite from the collection. I'm a sucker for vibrant reds and this one is perfection. The holo is strong and adds depth to the aready beautiful colour of the base. And, it doesn't stain (!!!) even though it's so pigmented.

One coat and top coat.

Waikiki Wahine

Waikiki Wahine is a berry pink holo with blue and purple shimmer in it. This is very pretty, but the one I liked the least in the collection. Don't got me wrong, I really like it, it's just that I like the others more.

Two coats and top coat.

4th of July Mani

 Hello darlings!

I wanted to show  you a 4th of July design today, being 4th of July and all. This is a design I've been thinking of for a while. I even made a polish for it with silver, blue and red glitter, but it must have gotten lost when I moved to a new apartment.
I wanted the glitter polish for a gradient on white, but since I couldn't find it I did a dotticure on two nails instead. I think it turned out great

On my middle finger I did a red glitter gradient and on my ring finger I stamped stars using a MoYou stamping plate late and the Creative Stamper

I'm so pleased with how this mani turned out. It's the first nail art I've done in six months.

The polishes I've used are Colors by Llarowe Chasing A Unicorn, Colors by Llarowe Pirates of Penzance, Colors by Llarowe Rednecks & Rubies and Colors by Llarowe Independence Day. The stamping plate I've used is MoYou Stamping Plate Pro XL 09.

Colors by Llarowe Pirates of Penzance

Hi sweethearts!

Colors by Llarowe Pirates of Penzance is a polish I wanted to show you for the longest time, but inspiration never struck and as you know my polish interest basically disappeared. I'm getting back on track and I've finally got some inspiration to write.

source

Pretty Woman is one of those classic rom-coms. I'm no big fan of romantic comedies but I do like Pretty Woman. It's witty, smart and, well, romantic.
I especially like the Pirates of Penzance scene so I'm glad there was a polish inspired by it in CbL's Pretty Woman Collection.

Pirates of Penzance is deep, vibrant red with a strong holographic effect. I guess that the shade is inspired by Vivan's dress worn in the scene.
The holo effect is extremly strong and adds a lot of depth to the finish.

The formula is good. It's creamy and goes on smoothly. I did two very thin coats for full coverage but if you do thicker coats you'll probably get full coverage with just one coat.

Oh, for your information, I just bought myself a new camera. A DSLR Canon EOS 1200D. I've never used a DSLR camera before so I'm still getting used to it. I still won't get the white balance right and sometimes the focus, but I'm working on it. The pictures are still a lot better than with my old Exilim compact camera.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Colors by Llarowe Pirates of Penzance and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.
