Glam Polish Firework

  Hi darlings!

I'm on vacation in the Canary Islands right now and this is the first time I actually try the wifi. It seems to work.

Today I'll show you Glam Polish Firework.

Firework is a jade green leaning teal with green flecks and a subtle holo. It's beautiful and the perfect summer shade. I love it!

It's slightly brighter in real life but the lighting made and my camera made it look a little darker than it actually is. The photos are taken  in direct sunlight.

The formula is great. Two coats give full coverage. It dries quickly and the finish becomes smooth and shiny. Top cat doesn't affect the holo.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Glam Polish Firework and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Glam Polish Hypnotize

Hi you lovely lot!
Today I'll show you Glam Polish Hypnotize from the collection Cast a Spell Part 3: The White Witch. The Cast a Spell Collections are collections based on magic. The inspiration of this collection is white magic, magic for good purposes and the use of nature to do good.

Hypnotize is a seafoam green pastel with a scattered holo effect and glitter in different shapes and sizes. It's absolutely beautiful. I really like the white, matte glitters that give the polish a delicate look. The scattered holo adds depth and sparkle. This is truly magical.

The formula is good. Three thin coats give full coverage. The finish becomes a little bit rough when the polish is fully dry, because of the great amount of glitter. Two coats of top coat will make the finish shiny and smooth.

Why you see in the pictures are three coats of Glam Polish Hypnotize, one coat of Pretty Serious Aqua Coat and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Lilypad Lacquer Vintage Chic

Hey Guys! My new course is killing me...  I've been so busy the past week and the coming three weeks will be even worse. It's not even funny. Our teachers just pile on things for us to do right now. That, sadly, makes the blog echo with emptiness. I have a few minutes over today to schedule a few posts for this week so at least you will have something to read in the coming days.
Anyway, today I'd like to show you a new polish from Lilypad Lacquer called Vintage Chic. When I bought it only two bottles had been made but I now it was sold when Nicole re-opened her shop this last weekend.

Vintage Chic is a golden green holo with a pink flash. It's super pretty! The pink flash is mostly visible in indirect sunlight, therefore you won't see it in m y pics snce they're taken in direct sunlight so show off the gorgeous holo. I really love the green colour. It's a perfect green for my pale skin.

The formula was flawless. Two easy applied coats gave full coverage. The polish dries quickly and the finih becomes shiny.

Enchanted Polish May 2014

Hey guys! It's soon Halloween and I still haven't showed you a proper orange. I think it's time to change that! Today I'll show you Enchanted Polish May 2014.

May 2014 is a coppery orange holographic. It's beautiful! It has some golden undertones that I really like. I don't find this very unique though. I have a few orange holos and most of them are very similar to this one. I do like it but the fact is that I'm a bit disappointed in this polish. Yes, it's beautiful but I usually find Enchanted Polish to be much more special. It's perfect for Halloween though!

The formula was alright. A bit thick. Two coats gave full coverage. The polish dried quickly and the finish became smoth and shiny.

United in Pink: Lilypad Lacquer Ruby Slippers

United in Pink. Today I have Lilypad Lacquer Ruby Slippers to show you. I've actually shown this one before. You can find that post here.

Ruby Slippers is a pink with red undertones, almost cherry red, holographic polish. I love the colour! This is one of the earlier Lilypads that changed a lot with differen batches. There are versins that are much more pink and versions that are more red. I love the batch my bbottle came from though. It's a gorgeous polish. The pictures are taken in direct sunlight and the holographic efect is much stronger in real life. This is polish is always holographic, always! Even when it's cloudy outside the holo is still visible.

The formula is good. It's actually a bit sheer. I needed three coats to get it completely opaque on my nails. It dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny. Top coat doesn't dull the holo effect.

United in Pink: Smitten Polish Udora's Harvest

United in Pink. This week is all about raising awareness about breast cancer cancer by showing pink polishes. I've decided to participate as much as I can. Today I'm doing so by showing you Smitten Polish Udora's Harvest from the fall collection.

Udora's Harvest is a rose old metallic with a strong linear holo effect. The colour is more pink than gold. It's a bit too pale for my taste. I do love the strong holo but the colour isn't really for me. The metallic finish is also pretty, it's just that I find the colour a bit too pale.

The formula was good and the polish was easy to apply. It's abit sheer but three coats gave full coverage. It dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny. The holo effect isn't affected by top coat.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of Smitten Polish Udora's Harvest and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Lilypad Lacquer Life on the Dark Side

Hello darlings! I've been busy with school work the past few days. I have an essay to write and the second draft is due to Monday. It might be a bit empty here on the blog until then. Depending on how much time I have this weekend I'll try to schedule a few post for you for next week.
Anyways, today I'll show you Lilypad Lacquer Life on the Dark Side.

Life on the Dark Side is a deep burgundy with a strong linear holographic effect and golden flakes. Yes, there is a lot going on and yes, it's absolutely gorgeous! The colour is to die for. Just my type of vampy shade. The golden flakes are more prominent when seen in the shadow so this polish is never boring. The flakes and the holo add a beautiful depth to the polish. Nicole, the owner of Lilypad Lacquer truly knows how to make gorgeous yet complex vampy shades.
The pictures were taken in direct sunlight. It was so hard to capture the flakes on camera but they ae visible in the bottle shot at the bottom.

The formula is flawless. It covered completely in one coat but I did two coats to get more depth. The polish dries quickly but a tad bit bumpy because of the flakes. othng a little top coat can't handle.

Colors by Llarowe Olivia

Hi guys! It's been quite here for a while now. That's because I'm in New York City! I'm visiting my best friend who lives in Washington DC and we decided to go on holiday in NYC. It's been absolutely amazing so far. Except for a horrible jetlag, that I'm now cured from.
Today I'm showing you Colors by Llarowe Olivia.

Olivia is an olive green with a touch of gold and a lot of holo. The holographic effect is linear and very strong. Much stronger in real life than in my photos. It's a beautiful polish. Perfect for the fall! I actually bought this for the name. Olivia is my middle name, so I couldn't help myself!  I'm so glad that I bought it though. It's gorgeous.

The formula is flawless. It goes on super smoothly and evenly. Two coats give full coverage and they dry quickly. The finish evokes smooth and shiny. Topcoat will not affect the holo effect.

Smitten Polish Radiant Orchid

Hi fellow polish lovers. Today I have Smitten Polish Radiant Orchid to show you.

Radiant Orchid is a dark orchid purple with a linear holo effect. Noelie is a true wizard. An actual wizard, I tell you. Yu can't seriously make a polish this gorgeous without a little magic. This will definitely make my top 20 this year. It's probably one of the most stunning purples I've ever seen. It's just amazing. I really don't know what else to say about it. The colour is beautiful and the holographic effect is, as the name suggests, radiant!
A perfect orchid holo!

The formula is impeccable. Three thin coats give full coerage. As most of Smitten's holos this one is alo a little sheer. But it doesn't bother me since three coats aren't really that many. It dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny. Top coat won't affect the holo.

What you see in the pictures are three coats of Smitten Polish Radiant Orchid and one coat of  Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.
