Pastel Gradient

Hello sweethearts!
I'm home today finishing up the last essay for the term. It's not fun but I have to do it. I've also prepared a lot of posts for the this week and doing some nail art.
Today I'll show you a gradient I wore during the weekend.

I used Butter London Jasper, Butter London Fiver and OPI Pirouette My Whistle. I wanted do something fun and perfect for summer. Paste yellow and green are perfect for that. The colours go really well together as well.
I used two coats of Butter London Jasper and the dabbed on Butter London Fiver. I topped it off with OPI Pirouette My Whistle and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat. 
 

United in Pink: Chevron Mani

Today is the first day of the theme week United in Pink. A theme week to raise awerenss of breast cancer and the Pink Ribbon campaign. The hostess of the theme week is Helena at Lacky Corner. I'm going to start off the week with nail art!

I finally decided to buy some nail vinyls and finally got them the other day. This is my first attempt at using them so the result isn't perfect but I'm really happy with it. They are so easy to use! Practice makes perfect and I'll will use my nail vinyls a lot.

I used OPI Alpine Snow as base for the mani. Then I used OPI My Signature is "DC" and Butter LONDON Cake-Hole for the chevron pattern with the help of my nail vinyls. I decided to do an accent nail on my ring finger to make the look a little more intriguing.

Butter LONDON Jasper

 When I was in London the change from icy cold Swedish winter to warm spring weather made my naisl chip like crazy. That has never happened before. My nails chipped, and chipped and suddenly they were paper thin so I had to chop them off. Now I'll have to live with nubbins for a while. I like them so it doesn't really bother me, it's just that I really love my nails long.
So lets cher up by a pop of yellow. I'd like to show you Butter LONDON Jasper.

Jasper is a pastel buttercup yellow creme. It's cute, pretty and screams spring. I really like itt. But then again, I do have a soft spot for yellows. Jasper actually works with my skin tone. most yellows don't, but this one d and that I love even more than the polish itself. A yellow that works!

 
The formula is impeccable. Probably the easiest yellow creme ever to apply. It covered in two coats, was  totally streak free and dries super glossy.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Jasper and one coat of Gisten & GlowHK Girl.

Butter LONDON British Racing Green

Här, mina kära läsare, ser ni en av mina drömbilar. En MG model B i färgen British racing green. Visst är den fantastisk. Min andra, och största, drömbil är en ljusblå Ford Anglia 105E från 1961.
 Anledningen till att jag visar bilen är för att min underbara mamma, efter en Finlandsresa, kom hem med massor av lack till mig idag. Bland annat butter LONDON British Racing Green som har exakt samma färg som bilen.
British Racing Green är just british racing green, mörkt grön med ljusare, smaragdgrönt skimmer. Fantastiskt  fint. Skimmerlack fungerar i alla lägen och det här älskar jag.

 

Formulan är okej. Lacket är varken för tunt eller för rinnigt. Det täcker på två lager och torkar otroligt glansigt. Däremot är det inte helt lätt att applicera. Det är enkelt att få jämna kanter men drar man för sakta med pensel över det första lagret så följer det gärna med lack och lämnar kala fläckar. Tre snabba drag på andra lagret fungerar bäst för att få lacket jämnt.
Det ni ser på bilderna är två lager British Racing Green och ett lager Poshé.

Translation: What you see in the picture below is one of my dream cars, a MG model B in the colour British Racing Green. My ultimate dream car is a light blue Ford Anglia 105E from 1961.
So why am I showing you that? Well, my mum came home from a trip to finland and she brought me ot's of lacquer, one of them being butter LONDON British Racing Green. It's perfect to show you today since it's Green Wednesday.
British Racing Green is really British racing green. A dark, deep green with emerald shimmer. It's lovely! I love the colour.
The formula is good. The polish is neither to thin or too thick. It covers in two coats and dries to an incredibly shiny finish. It's a bit difficult to apply though. It's easy to get an even edge, but there is some cuticle drag. Three quick strokes with the brush gives the best coverage and makes the finish look even.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of British Racing Green and one coat of Poshé.

butter LONDON The Black Knight

 

Efter gårdagens lite småtråkiga lack vill jag visa er något mycket roligare som jag köpte senast jag var i London. butter LONDON The Black Knight är en av mina lemmings som jag äntligen köpte. Det är så mycket vackrare än jag trodde att det skulle vara. 

The Black Knight är en svart jelly med glitter i grönt, rosa, orange, lila, blått, silver och en hel del andra färger. Det ser ut som en galax på naglarna, vilket jag älskar.  Jag har många "rymdlack" men det här är det finaste. Jag valde att lägga det över ett svart krämlack men det har ändå ett riktigt fint djup.

 

 

 

  

Formulan är bra. Det är lättlackat och torkar fort. På egen hand täcker det på tre lager men jag valde som sagt att lägga ett lager över ett svart krämlack. Lacket torkar ganska matt så för att få ytan jämn och glansig krävs ett flödigare lager Seche Vite.  Det ni ser på mina bilder är två lager China Glaze Liquid Leather, ett lager butter LONDON The Black Knight och ett lager Seche Vite.

Translation: After yesterday's pretty dull polish I wanted to show you something prettier and more exciting. When I was in London I bought butter LONDON The Black Knight. It was a lemming of mine for ages but now I've finaly got it, and it's much more beautiful than I ever imagined.

The Black Knight is a black jelly with glitter in various colours. I can spot green, pink, orange, purple, blue, silver and a few more. It's like a galaxy on you nails. I love it.  I do own a few "space polishes" but this is definitely my favourite. 

The formula is good. It's asy to apply and dries quickly. Three coats give full coverage when worn on its own but I layered it over a black creme. The polish dries matte and a bit gritty so a thick coat of Seche Vite was needed to make the finish shiy and smooth. What you see in my pictures are two, thin coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather, one coat of butter LONDON The Black Knight and one coat of Seche Vite.

butter LONDON Disco Biscuit

 

Idag visar jag ett lack som jag köpte i London och som varit en lemming för mig enda sedan det kom ut, butter LONDON Disco Biscuit.

Disco Biscuit är en rosa jelly fylld med blått skimmer/mikroglitter som nästan lyser inifrån lacket. Hur vackert som helst. Det är inte många rosa lack jag faller för men det här är helt fantastiskt. Med det blå mikroglittret känns det lite tuffare, lite coolare än den vanliga rosa jellyn. Jag tycker det är ursnyggt. Dessutom älskar jag namnet. Disco Biscuit är en klubbterm från 90-talet och var helt enkelt slang för en Ecstasytablett. Namnet är perfekt tycker jag, för det är verkligen ett glatt lack.

 

Formulan är bra. Lacket är lättapplicerat och torkar fort. Eftersom det är en jelly så är det skirt. Jag la tre lager och har fortfarande lite VNL, precis som det är med jellies. Är man ingt större fan av VNL kan man lägga två ager över en bas i liknande färg. Jag föredrar det dock på egen hand. 

Det torkar lite matt och inte helt slätt trots att det är en jelly, men med ett lager överlack blir ytan glansig och helt slät. Vad ni ser på mina bilder är tre tunna lager Disco Biscuit och ett lager Seche Vite.

Translation: Today I'm showing you a lemming of mine that I finally bought when I was in London, butter LONDON Disco Biscuit.
Disco Biscuit is a pink jelly filled with blue micro glitter that makes the polish look like it's lit from within. It's absolutely gorgeous! I usually don't fall for pink polishes but this is just lovely. It's a bit edgy and a lot cooler than the average pink jelly. Also, I love the namne. Disco Biscuit was a clubterm in the 90's that meant Ecstasy. The name is perfect because it's a really happy looking polish.
The formula is good. The polish is very easy to apply and dries fast. It's very sheer since it's a jelly. I used three coats and there was still some VNL, exactly like it should be. If you're not a big an of VNL you can of course layer two coats of a base polish in the same colour. It dries a bit matte and not completely smooth but one coat of top coat makes the finish shiny and smooth. What you see in my pictures are three coats of Disco Biscuit and one coat of Seche Vite.

Butter London Chancer

 

Första advent. Jag är så lycklig så jag knappt vet var jag ska ta vägen. Nu är julen verkligen på väg! Det ska så klart firas med ett riktigt juligt lack. Så idag  bär jag Butter London Chancer på naglarna.

Det är ett rött jelly lack med massor av rött glitter. Otroligt vackert.

Jag tror (är nästan helt säker) att det är en dupe på China Glaze Ruby Pumps. Jag ska göra en jämförelse så fort jag har tid. Men vad gör det om det är dupe av Ruby Pumps. Det lacket är alldeles underbart och det är Chancer också.

Röd jelly med rött glitter är verkligen en svårslagen kombination.

Formulan var perfekt. Inget kladd, inte för rinnigt och inte för tjockt. Chancer täcker dessutom på två lager. 

Det torkar fort och matt. För en glansig yta krävs två lager topplack. Efter ett par timmar behöver man ha på ett lager topplack till eftersom mycket av de tidigare lagren har lacket ätit upp.

Chancer är verkligen ett underbart lack!

So to celebrate I'm wearing a very Christmas appropriate polish, Butter London Chancer. It's a red jelly packed with red glitter. It's absolutely beautiful.
I think it' a dupe of China Glaze Ruby Pumps, but I'm not entirely sure. I'll probably do a comparision of them when I have the time. Ruby Pumps is gorgeous, so a dupe of it is also gorgeous.

The formula is perfect. Not too thin and runny and not too thick. Two coats are enough for full opacity.
The polish dries quickly and matte. To get a shiny finish two coats of top coat are needed. after a couple of hours you'll need another coat of top coat since the polish has eaten the top coat.
