ILNP Diablo

Let's take a look a ILNP Diablo. 

Diablo is a burgundy red crelly with holographic flakes. It's gorgeous, dark and vampy. I really lov these smooth holographic flakes. They're simliar to the ones in Zoya Aurora, Blaze and Dream  but not exactly the same. I love the colour as well. Burgundy is right up my alley and it's the perfect fall colour. It's red but deeper and more sot than brighter ones.

The photos are taken in artificial lighting.

The formula is good. It's a little bit sheer. It's a crelly but leans more towards jelly than creme. Three coats give full coverage. The finish becomes very shiny and it dries quickly.


What you see in the pictures are three coats of ILNP Diablo and one coat Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Bear Pawlish In Love With the Bad

Today I'll show you Bear Pawlish In Love With the Bad.

In Love With the Bad is a burgundy holo. It's dark, it's sultry, it's vampy. It's seduction in bottle.

I love burgundy holos in the fall and I have a few of them This has both purple and brown undertones wich makes it a little more unique and gives it lots and lots of depth. The darker edges and the holo give the polish that lit-from-within-look that I love.  The colour is perfect for fall. It has a super shiny finish as well which makes it even more pretty.


The photos are taken in artificial lighting.  

The formula is good. A little on the thick side but no thinner needed. Two coats give full coverage. As I said, it's super shiny on its own, but I laways use top coat anyway. Top coat doesn't affect the holo effect.

Lilypad Lacquer Life on the Dark Side

Hello darlings! I've been busy with school work the past few days. I have an essay to write and the second draft is due to Monday. It might be a bit empty here on the blog until then. Depending on how much time I have this weekend I'll try to schedule a few post for you for next week. 

Anyways, today I'll show you Lilypad Lacquer Life on the Dark Side. 

Life on the Dark Side is a deep burgundy with a strong linear holographic effect and golden flakes. Yes, there is a lot going on and yes, it's absolutely gorgeous! The colour is to die for. Just my type of vampy shade. The golden flakes are more prominent when seen in the shadow so this polish is never boring. The flakes and the holo add a beautiful depth to the polish. Nicole, the owner of Lilypad Lacquer truly knows how to make gorgeous yet complex vampy shades.

The pictures were taken in direct sunlight. It was so hard to capture the flakes on camera but they ae visible in the bottle shot at the bottom.

The formula is flawless. It covered completely in one coat but I did two coats to get more depth. The polish dries quickly but a tad bit bumpy because of the flakes. othng a little top coat can't handle.

Colors by Llarowe Unorthodox Annie

You already know I'm a sucker for holos. And it's Holo Friday today, so I've got lots in store for you! Let's get on with Colors by Llarowe Unorthodox Annie.

Unorthodox Annie is a deep burgundy, leaning raisin or dark wine, polish with an intense holographic effect.

It's so stunning. Just like all the CbL's I own. It's just one of my favourite brands. LeahAnn makes magical polishes. It's as simple as that. I want to own all the CbL's in the world. Feel free to donate one or two to me. No, but seriously, this is gorgeous. I love the strong holo and the deep colour.

The pictures are taken in lamp light. I don't know why in three of them the polish looks a bit lighter. The first and last two pictures are colour accurate, and I promise you that's how all the pictures looked on my computer when I cropped them and added my stamp. Blogger is messing my pictures up a lot these days.

The formula is flawless. It's a bit on the thicker side, like most CbL's. It's smooth and easy to apply. Like butter! Two coats gave full coverage and it ddrid quickly and shiny.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Colors by Llarowe Unorthodox Annie and one coat of Seche Vite.

CrowsToes Hellhound

 Goodmorning! Today I'm in the mood for CrowsToes, so CrowsToes is what I'm going to show you! This is CrowsToes Hellhound from the fall collection Better Late Than Never. 

Hellhound is a n almost multichromatic shimmer that shifts from burgundy, red, copper, brown to gold. It's my favourite from the collection. I find it stunning. The colours are lovely and it's just perfect for fall. Or anytime when you feel like wearing a vampy shade. Because yes, I do find this vampy.

I really like CrowsToes, I wish I had more polishes from this lovely indie brand to show. As of right now there are only three or four in my stash. I'll definitely have to get a few more since mst of the polishes are beautiful!

The formula is good. Smooth and easy to appply. Two coats gave full coverage, but I applied a third to get more depth. The polish dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny. Not shiny enough for me though since I love a glass like finish.
What you see in the pictures are three thin coats of CrowsToes Hellhound and two coats of Seche Vite.

Halloween Week: Ethereal Lacquer Devoured

It's Holo Friday today and it's still Halloween, so I'm going to show you the Halloween themed Ethereal Lacquer Devoured. It was exclusive for Llarowe's A Box Indied and isn't sold any longer.

Devoured is a dark burgundy polish with a holographic effect. The effct is stronger in the bottle but is very scattered on the nail. It can almost build a subtle rainbow. It's very elegant. A beautiful dark holo. I love strong rainbows, but a subtle holographis effect is much more glamorous. 

I love the colour. It's in the same range as Emily de Molly Living after Midnight, Smitten Polish I Never Drink... Wine and Colors by Llarowe Unorthodox Annie.

The photos are taken in lamp light. The holographic effect is a little bit stronger in sun light, but still not enough to build any strong rainbows.

The formula was okay. The polish is very sheer. I needed four, thin coats to reach full coverage. There was still some VNL at three coats but I think three can suffice if you have shorter nails. It dries quickly and the holo effect is not affected by top coat.

Halloween Week: Femme Fatale Wickerman Embers

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you're having a great day. I'm celebrating today with another polish from Femme Fatale's Halloween Trio. I'm wearing the beautiful Wickerman Embers.

Wickerman Embers is a burgundy jelly with different shapes of glitter in various colours. I can see hexes, micro glitter and bar glitter in copper, magenta, different shades of orange, gold and black. As you all probably know by now I really don't like bar glitter. I don't hate but I almost never think it looks pretty. I don't fancy the bar glitter in this polish but the colours go so well together that the bar glitters don't really show. Other than that I think this polish is just gorgeous! I layered it over a dark burgundy creme polish.

 

The formula is good. It's easy to apply and not too thick. It's thick but more than manageable. The base is sheer but will probaböy cover in three thin coats, though I chose to layer it over a similar base colour. I layered two coats over Essie Shearling Darling. The polish dried quickly and shiny, but a bit rough.

Emily de Molly Living After Midnight

Dagens andra lack den holofredag är Emily de Molly Living After Midnight. I onsdag fick jag hem fem stycken Emily de Molly-lack varav två holos, detta och Jealousy Makes You Nasty. Jag var ju självvklart tvungen att testa detta idag när jag var så upp över öronen förälskad i Jealousy Makes You Nasty.

Living After Midnight är en rödtonad lila holo med fantastiskt vacker holoeffekt. Bottenfärgen är en vinröd och holoeffekten ger ett vackert djup. Ingen tillstymmelse av grått i basen när inte ljuset ligger på, så det ser aldrig grådaskigt ut. Emily de Molly's hololack är verkligen ljuvliga.
Bilderna är tagna under lampljus. I solljus bilr holoeffekten mycket vackrare.

Formulan lämnar inget att önska. Det är otroligt lättapplicerat.Två lager ger full täckning. Aqua base behövs inte och överlack påverkar inte holoeffekten. Det torkar fort och glansigt.
Det ni ser på bilderna är två lager Living After Midnight och ett lager China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

Living After Midnight is a beautiful burgundy holo with stunning rainbows. Emily de Molly's holos are truly beautiful.
The formula is good. Very easy to apply. Two coats give full coverage. There's no need for Aqua base and top coat does not affect the holo effect. It dries quickly and shiny.
