Cirque Sample

 Hi lovelies!

When I was in New York a few weeks ago I went to International Playground to buy me some Cirque. I loved being able to go into a store an buy indie polish. It was amazing! I was lucky enough to come in a few days after a Cirque Sample sale and there were still samples left! So what I'm going to show you today is a Cirque Sample.

This sample is an orange shimmer with a slight duchrome effect. It flashes in gold and warm pink. It's superpretty! The colour is perfect for fall. It's very similar to Cirque Sanguine. I don't own Sanguine so I can't say for sure, but i dont' think I'll need both of them. 

The formula was good. A little sheer though. Thee coats gave full coverage. It dries quickly to a semi matte finish. So top coat's  needed to make the finish shiny.I can't stand the smell of Cirque's polishes though. I really can't get the fact that they actually put essential oils in the polish to make them scented. I mean it doesn't make the polish smell any better. Plus, lavender isn't really my favourite scent.
What you see in the pictures are three coats of Cirque Sample and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

OPI Green on the Runway

I've been on a hiatus for the last few weeks. I went to the US to visit one of my best friends who now lives there. Now I'm back from a fantastic vacation and I'm ready to blog again. Since January this year I've blogged but not as much as I'd like to. I'm going to do something about that and there's no better season to start. The fall is here with lots and lots of new colours. I've also shortened my nails after a bad break on my right pointer. Now they're just nubbins. Feels like a fresh start, doesn't it?
Today it's Karin's Green Wednesday and I have OPI Green on the Runway to show you.

Green on the Runway is a murky green shimmer with a slight duochromatic effect to it. In the bottle the polish looks like a multichrome and shifts from a dark moss green to gold, brown, purple and orange. On the nails the the prominent colours are the dark moss green and a purple-y brown. It's pretty but leaves something to wish for. I would have loved it if the duochrome effect was little more prominent. Now it's just a pretty polish but nothing special.
The polish is part of OPI's Icons of Happiness collection inspired by Coca Colas different beverages. Green on the Runway is inspired by Sprite, probably by the green can. I'm not a big fan of sodas. Actually I'm no fan at all. They're too sweeet. It feels like I'm drinking liquid sugar. The only soda I can drink if I have to and there's nothing else to pick is actually Sprite.
The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight.

The formula was very good. Two coats gave full coverage. It applies easily and even though it's a duochrome there are no brush strokes in the finish. It dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of OPI Green on the Runway, and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

OPI Peace & Love & OPI

Det börjar bli riktigt höstig ute nu. Jag gillar det. det har varit så fint väder hela sommaren att jag riktigt längtar efter lite regn. Det är så mysigt att kunna kura ihop sig under en filt, med en kopp te och tända ljus samtidigt som höstregnet smattrar mot fönstren. Så vad passar inte bättre än att visa upp ett av OPI's nya höstlack, Peace & Love & OPI, från kollektionen San Francisco.

Peace & Love & OPI är ett duokromt lack som skiftar i lavendellila, rosa och teal med en gråblå bas. Det är ingen favorit hos mig men det är ett fint lack. Skiftningarna är tydliga, jag önskar bara att färgerna var lite starkare. Eller jag vet inte ens om det är att färgerna som gör att jag inte klickar med detta till hundra procent. Det är lite frostigt och det är jag ju inte direkt förtjust i. Ärligt talat kan jag inte sätta fingret på varför jag inte tycker det är mer än fint.

Formulan är okej. Det blir lite för mycket penseldrag i finishen för min smak. Dessutom vallar det sig lite, men det jämnas ut rätt okej av överlacket. två lager ger full täckning. Däremot torkar det snabbt och relativt glansigt, men överlack är ett måste för mig oavsett.

Translation: It's really starting to look like fall outside. I love it! The weather's been lovely all summer so I've actually longed for rain. It's so cozy to get comfy under a blanket, ith a cup of tea, lit candles and the rain pouring down outside the window. So today I'm showing you another polish from OPI's fall collection San Francisco.
Peace & Love & OPI is a duochromatic polish that shifts from lavender to pink to teal and the base is a steel gray. The colour shifts are very visible I just wish the colours were a bit stronger. It's a pretty polish but nothing else. I can't even say why I don't feel very strongly about it. It might just be that it's a tad frosty or that there are some brush strokes in the finish.
The formula is okay. There are too much tendency for brush strokes for my liking. It's not very self-leveling either, though that can easily be fixed with top coat. it dries quickly and shiny though. What you see in the pictres re two coats of Peace & Love & OPI and one coat of Poshé.

OPI Muir Muir on the Wall

Jag var frisk i några dagar och sen slog förkylningen till med full kraft igen. Idag har jag varit hemma med feber och ont i halsen. Jag har roat mig med att lacka naglarna, swatcha upp lack på stickor och läst två böcker. Jag lovade ju att jag skulle swatcha de lack som jag fått ur OPIs nya kollektion San Francisco. De är swatchade nu och jag visar idag upp det lack jag var mest sugen på Muir Muir on the Wall.

Muir Muir on the Wall är ett duokromt skimmerlack som skiftar från mörkt plommonlila till brons och grönt. Skiftningarna är dock ganska svaga. De syns mer i flaskan än på nageln men de ger ett fint djup till lacket. I skugga ser lacket mer rödbrunt ut och i lamp och solljus så ser det mer plommonlila ut. Jag gillar det. Det är vackert och en fin höstfärg. Det är väldigt, väldigt glansigt.
Ni får bilder tagna i dagsljus och den sista bilden är tagen inomhus i lampljus.

Formulan är inte helt klockren. Den är ganska tunn och lite rinnig. Lacket är dessutom ganska skirt, det kvädes tre lager för full täckning. Det torkar fort och väldigt glansigt.

Translation: I felt good for a couple of days and the the cold I had came back with full force. I've been home all day with a fever and a very sore throath. So I've been swatching polish and reading two books. I promised you to swatch the new polishes I got from the new OPI collection San Francisco and now I've done it. First out is Muir Muir on the Wall.
Muir Muir on the Wall is a duochromatic shimmer that shifts from a drak plum to bronze to green. The colour shift i stronger in the bottle than on the nail but it gives a nice depth to the polish. It's pretty. The brown tones of the polish are more visible in the shade while the purple tones of the polish are more prominent in lamplight. The last picture is taken indoors under lamp light.
The formula is not spot on. It's rather thin and the polish is sheer. Three coats were needed to give full coverage. It dries quickly and very shiny though.

Cirque Planet Caravan

 

Idag visar jag er Cirque Planet Caravan. Jag var med i Edgy Polish Best Swatches-tävling och vann fjärde pris med bilden här ovan. Otroligt roligt tycker jag, speciellt när jag aldrig vinner något i nagellacksrelaterade tävlingar! Ni kan se de andra vinnarna här.

Planet Caravan är ett aubergine lila, svärtat skimmerlack med en lite duokromatisk effekt. Skimret skiftar i lila, guld och lite orange beroende på vinklarna. Det lila och guldiga skiftningarna är de mest framträdande.

Det är hur vackert som helst tycker jag! En av mina favoriter från Cirque faktiskt.

Formulan  är bra, även om den är åt det tjockare hållet. Det är lättapplicerat och torkar snabbt. Första lagret var ganska skirt, men det andra lagret gav full täckning. Ytan torkar dock ganska matt så ett lager överlack krävs för att få det så glansigt som det är på mina bilder. Det ni ser på mina bilder är två lager Cirque Planet Caravan och ett flödigt lager Seche Vite.

Planet Caravan is an eggplant, blackened purple shimmer polish with a slight duochromatic effect. The shimmer shifts from purple to gold to orange. The purple and gold shift are the most prominent. 
It's gorgeous and Planet Caravan really is one of my favourite Cirque polishes.
The formula is good, even though it is a bit thick. It's easy to apply and dries quickly.  The first coat was a bit sheer but the second coat of polish gave full coverage. The finish dries matte so one coat of top coat is requiered to make the finish shiny. What you see in my pictures are two coats of Cirque Planet Caravan and one thick coat of Seche Vite.

 

piCture pOlish Majesty

 

Idag har jag ett piCture pOlish åt er. Det här är piCture pOlish Majesty. Det är fint, men jag och Majesty klickar inte riktigt.

Majesty är ett guldlack med en svag duokrom flash i rosa. Som inte alls syns på mina bilder. Det finns en hel del prismatiskt glitter i blandningen också som gör det till vad jag skulle vilja kalla ett scattered hololack. Med duokrom effekt alltså. Det borde vara jättesnyggt och det är det. Men jag känner helt enkelt att det är ett lack som inte passar mig. Jag vet egentligen inte varför jag känner mig obekväm i det. Jag har burit det i två dagar och det känns fortfarande inte bra. Jag och Majesty klickar helt enkelt inte. Ibland är det ju så. lacket är snyggt men det funkar inte. Upplever ni också det ibland?

 

Formulan däremot är bra. Lacket är inte för tunt eller för tjockt. Det torkar fort och ganska glansigt. Ytan torkar slätt. Majesty är skirt. Jag har tre lager och fortfarande lite VNL, fast jag gillar att det ser lite skirt ut. Ett fjärde lager hade nog gjort det helt opakt. Så tre lager Majesty och ett lager Seche Vite är alltså vad ni ser på mina bilder.

Translation: Today I have a piCture pOlish for you. This is piCture pOlish Majesty. It's very pretty, but Majesty and I didn't really click. 

Majesty is a golden polish with a duochrome flash of pink. That can't be seen in my pictures. There are a lot of prismatic glitter in the mix aswell, which makes me want to call it a scattered holo. With duokrom effect, that is. It should be beautiful and it is. ButI simply feel that it's a polish that doesn't suit me. I really don't know why I feel uncomfortable in it. I have been wearing it for two days and it's still no good. As I said Me and Majesty don't click. That's really how it is sometimes. The polish doesn't work for you. Do you ever  feel that too?

The formula is good. The polish is not too thin or too thick. It dries fast and shiny. The polish is a bit sheer though. I used three coats and still had some VNL. That didn't bother me, I like the semi-opaque look of the polish. I think a foruth coat had made it completely opaque. So what you see in my pictures are three coats of Majesty and one coat of Seche Vite.

Models Own Indian Ocean

Idag är det Blå Måndag hos Lindas Nailorama och jag är med efter en lite bloggpaus. Tanken var att jag skulle ha grön vecka förra veckan på bloggen men jag åkte till dalarna och det blev grön vecka i verkliga livet. Jag har spenderat dagarna med skogspromenader och pilkat abborre. Nu är jag tillbaka och vi tar nya tag med Models Own Indian Ocean. Vad jag bar på St. Patrick's Day får ni se imorgon och på Grön Onsdag istället.
Indian Ocean är ett duokromt lack som skiftar i ljusblått och rosa. Det är väldigt skirt så jag a det ovan på OPI Can't Find My Czechbook. Det är verkligen ett fint lack och jag gillar skiftningarna.

Formulan är bra. Den är trevlig att måla med. Eftersom lacket är så skirt tror jag inte att det kan täcka på egen hand utan funkar bäst för layering. Det torkar fort och glansigt. Vad ni ser på bilderna är två lager OPI Can't Find My Czechbook som bas och två lager Indian Ocean. Jag avslutade manikyren med ett lager Seche Vite.
Nu har jag verkligen inte tid att skriva mer för jag ska på bio om en timme och ska både hinna laga och äta middag och ta en dusch. Jag ska se Oz the Great and Powerful. Det ska bli så spännande!
