Colors by Llarowe POTM June Enjoy-mint

Hello!

Colors by Llarowe has made a Polish Of The Month for quite a while now. I've bought a few of them. POTM June was one that as soon as I saw swatches I knew I had to have it.

Colors by Llarowe Enjoy-mint is a dusty, muted mint green scattered holo. It's so pretty. The holo is very soft but still gives depth.

Two coats give full coverage. The finish becomes shiny and smooth.  If you want that glass like finish you do need a coat of top coat to achieve it.

What's In-Die Box October 2014: Holo-ween!

Hi darlings!

Last week I recieved the the What's In-Die Box? for october. This month was an all holo box with the theme Holo-ween.
The What's In-Die Box? is an all indie box ith five surpise polishes from five different indie makers. You have no idea what the polishes look like when you order the box but five inspiration pictures are released, so you'll get a clue about the colour scheme.  Here you can see all the inspiration pictures for October.

This post will be picture heavy, because I'll show you all five polishes today. Since it's halloween and all tomorrow. I'd thought it'd be fitting. The polishes will be shown in no particular order.

Th first polish up is Lilypad Lacquer Skulloween.  Skulloween is a pumpkin orange holographic polish with tiny, tiny black shimmer than can barely be seen but adds depth. It's gorgeous and the colour looks amazing!
The formula was good. Two coats gave full coverage and it dried fast to a shiny finish.

Moving on! The next polish is Emily de Molly Night Terrors. Night Terrors is a midnight blue holographic polish with bue and purple shimmer. It has a grey-ish sort of blue tone in the shadow and a brighter navy blue in the sun. It' dark, it's beautiful and completely spellbinding. The formula was good. Two coats gave full coverage and the finish becomes shiny.

The next polish is the brightest of the bunch, Peita's Polish Ghost Gutz. Ghost Gutz is a bright, almmost neon, mint green holo. This is the least holographic of the five. The holo effect is scattered but it adds depth and sparkle. It's pretty and I really like the colour.
The formula was good. It's the type of colour that could go on streaky but it doesn't. Two coats gave full coverage and the finish becomes semi-matte.

The next polish is Glam Polish Paranormal. Paranormal is a teal holographic polish. The colour wa crazy ard to capture. It leans more blue in my pictures than in real life. This is my favourite of the five polishes. Teal and holo is always a smashing combination. This is gorgeous!
The formula is very good. Two coats gave full coverage and the finish becomes shiny.

The llast polish in the box is PrettyPots Polish Bewitchery. Bewitchery is a purple with a strong holographic effect. The colour is beautiful! I love it.
The formula n the other hand left lots to wish for. It was easy to apply but required four coats for full opacity. So I was a bit disappointed in that. The finish becomes very shiny.

I really, really liked this month's box. I love that it was an all holo box and that it was a Halloween box! Which one of the five polishes is your favourite?

I think that the What's In-die Box? is the best indie polish box other there. I just love the concept of a new theme every month and the fact that what the polishes will look like is a surprise. This wasn't my last box and it's definitely not my last. November's box has the theme Pokémon, and who could resist that?

Prettypots Polish Mintberry Macaron

Well, hello there! I've been super busy the last week with school work (uni is wearing me out) but now everything seem to be back to normal. I have time to blog again, yay!
Today I have a polish from a brand I haven't tried before. This is Prettypots Polish Mintberry Macaron.

Mintberry Macaron is a minty jelly with playful pastel glitter in different shapes and sizes. I love the little star glitter. It's so cute. The polish is very child-like and playful.
Mintberry Macaron is a limited edition though. it was part of the February What's In-die Box that had the theme Bakery Delights. This polish definitely reminds me of macarons. I bake them now and then and the last time I did mintgreen vanilla macarons. They are yummy! The only issue I have with this polish though is that it's so sweet and it screams baby doll. I'm far from that with my Dr Martens and band T-shirt. Right now I don't feel like wearing these super spring-like polishes. Not quite yet. I still want to dwell in dark holos, glitters and shimmers. I'll probably love this polish in the end of March when I really, really start to long for spring.

The formula is good. The polish is easy to apply and the glitter spreads quite evenly on the nail. Three coats gave sufficient coverage but there was still some VNL, which I think is to expect with these type of polishes. It dried quickly though for being a jelly and the finish becomes shiny. It's the first time I try Prettypots Polish and I'm more than pleased!
What you see in the pictures are three thin coats of Prettypots Polish Mintberry Macaron and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Colors by Llarowe Mojito

Let's start Green Wednesday early, shall we? Because I cannot wait to show you this polish. I've wanted it for a really long time and at restocks I kept choosing other polishes over this. A big mistake. When I finally decided to buy it I had to wait almost three weeks for it to arrive. As soon as I got I had to try it on. This is Colors by Llarowe Mojito.

Mojito is a mint leaning jade creme polish with a strong linear holographic effect. It's so gorgeous. It's the perfect kind of mint for my skintone. It doesn't make my hand go all lobster on me. I love the colour and the holo. The colour reminds me of spring and summer and my grandmothers Jade figurines. Oh, did I say I love it? Because I do. It seems like everything Leah Anne touches turns to perfection. I don't think I have one CbL that I don't love. The only thing I wish for now is that my nails could grow out a bit faster, still sad I had to file them down, so I can see this polish on my long nails. And for the sun to come out. I want, no need, to see this polish in sunlight!

The formula is, as always, impeccable. Creamy, smooth, applies like butter. I have nothing to complain about. Two coats gave me full coverage. The polish dries quickly, shiny and top coat doesn't affect the holo effect.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Colors by Llarowe Mojito and once coat of Poshé.

Nail Lacquer Love Under Your Enchant-Mint

So, I did a Valentine's Duo. Yep, I mixed together a Valentines duo. All exclusive to me since it's so difficult to actually establish an indie brand due to Swedish laws. So I'm just making polishes for myself. I kow I haven't showed you many of the ones I've made. Only one I think, Patronus. Sminkan on the other hand won  five polishes and has shown some of them on her blog. The swatches are gorgeous. Almost prettier than the polishes are in real life.

Since it's Green Wednesday today I thought I'd show you the first half of the duo, Under You Enchant-Mint.

Under Your Enchant-Mint is a mint green creme holo with blue, or turquoise, tones. I wanted it to be a bit blue-ish to prevent it the polish from giving me red hands. I think I managed quite well with that task. The name on the other hand is not very original, but it works. I might change it, I might not. I love the polish though. Just love it. I'm so proud of the creation. I'm also very proud of stepping out of my Harry Potter/Dexter comfort zone and making something that's inspired from somthing else and completely different.
The inspiration of the polish actually comes from my boyfriend. Cute? Maybe. Cheesy? Oh, yes. I've never celebrated Valentine's. Me and my boyfriend just don't fancy Valentine's. We rather sit at home, watch Lord of the rings and just be us rather tha going out doing something romantic. We're just not very couple-y. But, I do love Valentine's for the cute colors and nail polishes, so I wanted to do my own Valentine's Day polishes with my boyfriend in mind, so colours he likes on me (though I almost never wear them. I'm all black, all Dr. Martens and a lot of eye make up.) in nail polish form with a extra sparkle since I'm a holo whore.

Since the text is already so long and most of you just scroll past it anyways I won't mention the formula. Both because that is not very interesting for you with this polish since I'm the only one who owns it and because the formula is exactly how I like it to be.
