Glam Polish ZONK!

 Hello darlings!

Today I'll show you Glam Polish ZONK! from the Knockout Collection.

Zonk is a teal holo with prismatic glitter. It's so so sparkly. I couldn't stop staring at my nails when I wore this. It's that gorgeous.
It's slightly brighter in real life, teal is a colour that is really hard to capture on camera. It usually looks slightly darker or slightly lighter than it is. In this case the polish is slightly brighter.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is great. Two coats give full coverage. Even though there's a lot of glitter the finish is smooth and shiny.  It dries quickly.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Glam Polish ZONK! and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Smitten Polish Elixir

Hi sweethearts!
It's Green Wednesday! I'll show you Smitten Polish Elixir. It's an exclusive for Hypnotic Polish.

Elixir is a dark teal green jelly with prismatic micro glitter. It's the type of polish Noelie makes best. It's absolutely gorgeous. A flawless teal green that's super sparkly. Everyone who loves green or teal should own this. It's that amazing.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight. It's much more sparkly in real life. All the glitter freaked out my camera a little.

The formula is impeccable. Two coats give full coverage. The finish becomes smooth but needs top coat to be really shiny.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Smitten Polish Elixir and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Stamping and Half Moons

Hi guys! I hope you all are haveing a lovely weekend. I've been home relaxing all day. I also did some nail art today that I'd like to show you.

For this mani I used OPI Lady in Black, Smitten Polish Seahorse Rodeo and Picture Polish Chillax. I used nail vinyls to create the half moon on my index and pinky. I used Mentality Black Opaque for stamping the pattern. The pattern is from MoYou London Sailor Collection Plate 05. I as usually used the Creative Shop Stamper to stamp with. I bought mine from Rainbow Connection, but you can buy it from other places as well.

About Mentality Black Opaque, it's the best black stamping polish I've used. It's super pigmented and dries quickly but not so fast that you have to stress when using it for stamping. I don't think I'm going to use another black for stamping ever again.

I really love how this turned out. I love the pattern, though it looks a little wonky since I haven't completely mastered the art of stamping yet. Well, practise makes perfect and I'm pleased for now. Chillax is a gorgeous, almost neon, teal. It's one of my favourites from Picture Polish. The pictures aren't completely colour accurate though. My camera doesn't like teal and likes to make them look more blue than green. Chillax is a green leaning teal and not a blue leaning one. I'll post a review of Chillax soon and I'll try to make the pictures more colour accurate.

Glam Polish Ladies Choice

Hi darlings!
Today I'll show you Glam Polish Ladies Choice from the Hairspray collection.

Ladies Choice is a teal Aqua with a strong pink shift and a scattered holo.

It's an amazing polish. The colour is gorgeous and so complex. The pictures aren't completely colour accurate but this was the best my camera could do. The link shift is much stronger in real life as well. It's a perfect spring polish! I've worn this as a full mani three times since I got it back in February.

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is great. Two coats give full coverage. It dries quickly and the finish becomes fairly shiny. For a super glossy look top coat is needed. Top coat doesn't dull the holo effect.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Glam Polish Ladies Choice and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Teal Water Marble

Hi sweeties!
Happy Easter. I don't have an Easter mani to show you today. Instead I'll show you a water marble I did last week.
I used A England Saint George, Colors by Llarowe  Refresh...ing, Colors by Llarowe Zipper, Colors by Llarowe Oh Christmas Tree and Colors by Llarowe Young Turks for the water marble. I used OPI Alpine Snow as my base. I also used liquid latex to make the whole thing less messy. I only had to clean up the cuticles a little.

This is the first water marble I've done in over a year. The colours go so well together. It's not perfect and I definitely have to practise, but for now I'm really pleased with the result.

Colors by Llarowe Oh Christmas Tree

It's Holo Friday today and I'll sow you Colors by Llarowe Oh Christmas Tree from last years Holiday collection. These pictures have been in my blogger archive for about a month so I fgured it's time to show you them.

Oh Christmas Tree is a deep teal gree with a super strong linear holo effect. It's amazing. This is definitely a rainbow in a bottle. This is one of those Holiday polishes that doesn't scream Christmas and can be used every season without anyone looking at your nails and wondering what the hell you're wearing since it's in the middle of summer. Yes, that has happened to me. Loads of times. I just happen to love Chirstmas polishes so much I wear them whenever I feel like it.
Anyway, to sum it up, Oh Christmas Tree is gorgeous!

The formula is good. Two coats give full coverage. It might even be a one coater if you have short nails. It dries quickly and th efinish becomes shiny. TC dosen't dull the holo effect.

Smitten Polish 131 Angstrom

Hi guys! Today I have a polish from Smitten Polish's fall collection called 131 Angstrom.

131 Angstrom is a dark teal jelly filled with prismatic micro glitter. It's absolutely stunning. The polish has so much depth and the colour is amazing. I really don't get how Noelie makes her jelly micro glitters. They're packed with glitter so the coverage is amazing but the polish is never thick or difficult to apply. Definitely one of my favourite brands.
I had a really hard time photographing this. It's a teal and my camera can't really handle teal. The pictures turned out slightly more blue than the polish actually is so keep that in mind when looking at the pictures.

The formula is amazing. It's thick but not gloopy and very easy to apply. Two coats gave full coverage but you might need three if you have longer nails. The finish becomes a little textured because of the glitter but two coats of top coat makes it shiny and smooth.
What you see in the pictures are two coats of Smitten Polish 131 Angstrom, one coat of Pretty Serious Aqua Coat and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

What's In-Die Box October 2014: Holo-ween!

Hi darlings!

Last week I recieved the the What's In-Die Box? for october. This month was an all holo box with the theme Holo-ween.
The What's In-Die Box? is an all indie box ith five surpise polishes from five different indie makers. You have no idea what the polishes look like when you order the box but five inspiration pictures are released, so you'll get a clue about the colour scheme.  Here you can see all the inspiration pictures for October.

This post will be picture heavy, because I'll show you all five polishes today. Since it's halloween and all tomorrow. I'd thought it'd be fitting. The polishes will be shown in no particular order.

Th first polish up is Lilypad Lacquer Skulloween.  Skulloween is a pumpkin orange holographic polish with tiny, tiny black shimmer than can barely be seen but adds depth. It's gorgeous and the colour looks amazing!
The formula was good. Two coats gave full coverage and it dried fast to a shiny finish.

Moving on! The next polish is Emily de Molly Night Terrors. Night Terrors is a midnight blue holographic polish with bue and purple shimmer. It has a grey-ish sort of blue tone in the shadow and a brighter navy blue in the sun. It' dark, it's beautiful and completely spellbinding. The formula was good. Two coats gave full coverage and the finish becomes shiny.

The next polish is the brightest of the bunch, Peita's Polish Ghost Gutz. Ghost Gutz is a bright, almmost neon, mint green holo. This is the least holographic of the five. The holo effect is scattered but it adds depth and sparkle. It's pretty and I really like the colour.
The formula was good. It's the type of colour that could go on streaky but it doesn't. Two coats gave full coverage and the finish becomes semi-matte.

The next polish is Glam Polish Paranormal. Paranormal is a teal holographic polish. The colour wa crazy ard to capture. It leans more blue in my pictures than in real life. This is my favourite of the five polishes. Teal and holo is always a smashing combination. This is gorgeous!
The formula is very good. Two coats gave full coverage and the finish becomes shiny.

The llast polish in the box is PrettyPots Polish Bewitchery. Bewitchery is a purple with a strong holographic effect. The colour is beautiful! I love it.
The formula n the other hand left lots to wish for. It was easy to apply but required four coats for full opacity. So I was a bit disappointed in that. The finish becomes very shiny.

I really, really liked this month's box. I love that it was an all holo box and that it was a Halloween box! Which one of the five polishes is your favourite?

I think that the What's In-die Box? is the best indie polish box other there. I just love the concept of a new theme every month and the fact that what the polishes will look like is a surprise. This wasn't my last box and it's definitely not my last. November's box has the theme Pokémon, and who could resist that?
