ILNP Juliette

Hi sweethearts!

This polish was all the rage back in December. At least that's my opinion. Everyone, in the nail world, was talking about the new ILNP Winter collection and especially about this polish. Rose Gold was one of the most popular colours and it seemed like this polish actually captured it.

And it does! Juliette is a rose gold scattered holo with silver flakes. It has that metallic, incredibly sparkly finish that almost looks reflective.

really love the colour. I think this is the perfect rose gold on the market.

The formula is great. Two coats give full coverage. The finish becomes rather smooth to the touch but if you want a glass like look you need top coat. I always use top coat no matter what.

Enchanted Polish Dragon Egg

Hi darlings!

Long time no write. I guess you may want an explanation. The simple truth is that I completely lost interest in nail polish. It went from 100 to 0 in less than two months. Well, maybe from 100 to 3. I still painted my nails, but only about once a week. A lot of things were changing in my life and I wanted to do other things so the blog sort of died out on its own and I've been out of the nail polish loop for about six months.

Until I saw an instagram post of this polish, Enchanted Polish Dragon Egg, and basically fell head over heels into nail polish again.
This polish finally arrived to my house the other day and since then I wanted to write a post for you about it. I've been thinking about if it's a good idea to start this blog up again, but I decided that yes it is. I'm not going to post as frequently as I did before and not put any pressure on myself. If inspiration strikes I'll probably blog. As of right now I can't say how often that is. Maybe a few times a year or a few times a week. We'll see.

Back to Dragon Egg. Its a pink-ish red shimmer with a subtle holographic effect and lots of iridescent flakes. It's amazing. Absolutely beautiful. If I imagine dragon eggs, this is what they'd look like.

The formula is good. It's a bit sheer but three coats gave full coverage. The finish becomes a little textured when dry so you'll need a good top coat to make the finish shiny and smooth.

Different Dimension Nose So Bright

Hi darlings!

I've been conflicted about showing you this polish and others from Different Dimension. The reason? Bad experience with their customer service. I didn't get all the polishes I ordered from them once and even though I sent several emails and tried to contact them via Facebook they never responded. So the polish I bought,  and they didn't send, I never got. That makes me pissed and I've never bought from them again.
A bad customer service really is the number one thing that makes me never buy anything from a brand again. Luckily most polish brands have lovely customer services. I can't say that about Different Dimension. Which is sad because I really like the few polishes I have from them.

Back to the polish. This one is Nose So Bright from last year's holiday collection.

Nose So bright is a red cruelly with sterling silver flakes. The crelly is transparent enough to let the flakes peek through. It really is a lovely polish and it's perfect for the holidays.

The pictures are taken in artificial lighting.

The formula is alright. It's quite thick and it's a little difficult to get even on the nails. It covers in two coats though, so it's not a major problem.
The finish becomes super shiny when dry.

Winter Nail Art Challenge: Snow, All Kinds of Snow!

Hello darlings!
I'm so frustrated with myself. Last week I thought I scheduled one post a day for the whole week, apparently I didn't schedule them I just saved them. I'll probably post two posts a day instead this week.

Anyway Helena at Lacky Corner has a lovely nail art challenge going on for the whole of December. Todays theme is Snow, All Kinds of Snow.

I've wanted to this mani for a long time. I used Glam Polish Anuenue as my base and OPI Alpine Snow as my stamping polish.
It looked a lot better in real life than in my pictures. My camera wouldn't really capture the sparkle of Anuenue. It really did sparkle as much as snow does in the sun light. It was so delicate and pretty. I loved wearing this.

The snow flakes come from Moyou London Festive Stamping Plate 02. It's a plate filled with different snow flakes. It's one of my favourites from Moyou London.

Colors by Llarowe Santy Claws

Hi darlings!
It's the 1st of December and the Holiday Season is truly here! So today I'll show you a Christmas polish from last year. This is Colors by Llarowe Santy Claws.

Santy Claws is a pink-ish red jelly with red and copper flakes and blue iridescent micro glitter. It's absolutely gorgeous. I really love the colour. It loks so squihy on the nails and the flakes give a lot of depth to it.

The photos are taken in artificial lighting.

The formula is awful. Absolutely horrific. It has this thick, goopy, glue-like consistensy that is almot impossible to get even on the nail. I did two coats, even though the mani need three to be fully opaque, but I just didn't want to do another coat. That's how bad the formula is. I've tried to thin it but nothing helps. It's really sad because I love the colour and finish.
It dries quickly and becomes slightly textured so top coat is needed to make the finish shiny and smooth.

ILNP Lulu

Hi darlings!

I still have a few polishes from ILNP Fall collection to show. This is Lulu.

Lulu is a blurple with holographic flakes. It's a pruple with blue undertones. I find that it only looks purple in darker lights. As soon as it's in daylight or artificial lighting it looks royal blue. It's oh so pretty, but I have a few others in my stash that's very similar to this one.

The photos are taken in artificial lighting.

The formula is great. Two coats give full coverage. The finish becomes super shiny and top coat is unnecessary in that aspect. For longer wear you'll still need top coat.

What you see in the pitures are two coats of ILNP Lulu and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

ILNP Mountain View

 Hi sweeties!

This is ILNP Mountain View from the fall collection. It's an amazing collection. I've already gushed about it when I showed you Overnight Bag.

Mountain View is a complex shade and hard to describe. It's a deep green leaning teal with holographic flake glitter (the type that now is so typical for ILNP) and copper flake. It's so gorgeous and has so much depth and sparkle.
What I really like about it is those copper flakes. They really accenturates the lovely green colour.

The photos are taken under artificial lighting.

Formula is great. Two coats give full coverage. The finish becomes shiny when dry but needs that little extra  boost from top coat to become realy glossy.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of ILNP Mountain View and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Femme Fatale Pyramids on Mars

Hi sweeties!

I'm back from my vacation now and I'lol have more time to blog again.
Today I'll show you Femme Fatale Pyramids on Mars.

Pyramids on Mars is a dark purple jelly with iridescent glass flecks. This was The colour of the month for May 2015.
This one is truly amazing. It's like a darker, edgier version of Barielle Elle's Spell. At least Pyramids on Mars reminds me of it. I really love it. It's so gorgeous.

The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight.

The formula is good. Three coats give full coverage. The coverage is good at two coats but there's still a little VNL. The jelly is quite opaque so some of the flakes do drown a little bit in the base. At three coats I had no VNL but the flakes aren't as visible.
It dries fairly quickly and the finish becomes very shiny.

What you see in the photos are three coats of Femme Fatale Pyramids on Mars and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Glam Polish Ohana

Hello darlings!

Today I'll show you Glam Polish Ohana from the Over the Rainbow Flakie Collection.

Ohana is a burgundy jelly packed with iridescent red-to-orange-to-gold and green colour shifting flakies, gold glass flecks and a subtle holographic effect. It's a amzing. The colour is so deep and rich. This polish is glowing! The glass flecks and flakies give it that lit-from-within-look I love so much.

This is a perfect red. I love it!

The pictures are taken in direct sunlight.

The formula is impeccable. Two coat gave full coverage. The finish becomes shiny and smooth even without top coat.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Glam Polish Ohana and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.

Glam Polish Anuenue

Hi darlings!

Today I have Glam Polish Anuenue to show you. I bought this when they had international shipping. Shipping was expensive but so worth it. I got the three I really wanted from the Over the Rainbow Flakies Collection but now I, of course, want a few more from the collection.

Anuenue has a transparent base with iridiscent flakies, iridiscent glass flecks, turquoise shimmer and a subtle holo effect.
It's absolutely gorgeous! I really, really love it. I decided to not layer it over anything to get a shimmery neautral look. The result is amazing. I think layering it over black will make the colours of the flakies and shimmer pop more.
I might have a new Glam favourite.

The pictures are taken in indirect sunlight, so the lovely holo doesn't show.

The formula is amazing. One coat will probably be enough if you layer it over another polish. I used two coats for this mani to get a little more coverage. The polish dries quickly and the finish becomes shiny but a little textured. For the finish to be completely smooth you'll need a coat of TC.

What you see in the pictures are two coats of Glam Polish Anuenue and one coat of Pretty Serious Crystal Coat.
